Andrew Wilson is a mega douche, even if he is right about a lot of things.

Are these actual examples or hypotheticals?
/r/MensRights04/03/26 05:13 PM

All we can do is set the example and work toward our collective goals. If we stoop to their level then we get nowhere. That's all that's really important.

I think most people have some amount of toxic beliefs in many things, regardless of the group you're choosing to focus upon. Our environment can be hostile towards men, yes, but that same hostility also exists against other groups like women, minorities, etc., in certain places. Our struggles as men are rarely taken seriously but that doesn't mean we should then turn around and behave in the same ways the hateful do towards us because then we're no better.
/r/MensRights28/02/26 03:35 PM

That may be true, but it isn't an individual's place to arrange it. Stay hateful.

That's the same mentality some women have towards men. Is it fair when they do it?

We don't overcome negative stereotypes by taking out our frustrations on random people, whose opinions we're not aware of btw.. Daryl Davis hasn't changed the minds of literal Klan members and Nazis by being abrasive.

I think I can speak for most men on this. We don't care if you're a woman and want to voice your opinion. We (humans) are all entitled to our opinions and no space, including this one, should discount someone's thoughts based on characteristics determined by genetics. We all know how close-minded and hateful other groups can be when you're perceived as the enemy. There are no enemies here, we are all equal and your experiences are as valid as anyone else's, regardless of your or my chromosomes.

I had a similar experience with ChatGPT and when I called out the bias in tone when responding to "Gosh, women are so stupid" and "Gosh, men are so stupid", respectively. I may have even seen the prompt on this sub but I don't remember. Try it out for yourself and see what is says.

I didn't read the article but my gut reaction is conflicted. On one hand I see what can easily be perceived as sexist, but on the other hand I want my daughter to feel safe if she calls an Uber/Lyft in the future. Any level-headed people wanna offer respectful arguments for or against so I might be able to formulate an opinion?

You're right and anyone here that can't accept that this situation is at least in the gray area is a close-minded idiot. They both should have walked away and she had no right to hit him in the first place, but he wasn't acting in self-defense and it's obvious. It's still fucked up that everyone came to aid when SHE got hit but he shouldn't have swung later if he didn't swing earlier. Fuck your downvotes, use your fucking brain and admit this is true.

You clearly don't understand this sub. The point isn't that no one stepped in, it's that they didn't step in because it was a woman beating a man. Had the roles been reversed this probably would have concluded very differently.

9th sentence: 1871 Legal Right of Men to Beat Their Wives Rescinded in Alabama: Alabama first state to rescind legal right of men to beat their wives. Massachusetts follows shortly. Did you even read it dude?

Ever heard of the ‘rule of thumb’? In the 1700's, England passed a law that allowed a man to "chastise his wife with a whip or rattan no bigger than his thumb, in order to enforce domestic discipline.” Literally the 5th sentence in the article I sent you.

Not deep whatsoever. But an unborn baby isn't just a "blob of cells". Question: where do you draw the line for abortion, if at all?

What's right isn't always popular and what's popular isn't always right. Unless legitimate evidence comes out, I will continue to believe that a baby born with a penis is a boy and a baby born with a vagina is a girl. Biology trumps feelings, unfortunately. I'm not trying to sound like an asshole but reality is reality. That doesn't mean I see transgendered individuals as less, they are human just as I am. I treat people with respect until they have earned otherwise and as for using "preferred p…

Like the other guy said, rape babies make up an astonishingly low percentage of performed abortions, along with incest. People are going to do heroin whether it's legal or not, might as well provide it right? Murder still happens even when it's illegal, might as well make it okay right? Identity theft happens all the time to innocent people, might as well make it legal right?

At what point during pregnancy is abortion no longer acceptable, in your opinion, and why?
/r/MensRights10/01/20 11:47 AM
3

The idea that because an unborn baby is inconvenient or harmful to a mother's well-being, and therefore can be terminated, is a logical fallacy in and of itself. If someone is not ready for a child, and let's admit who ever is, then they shouldn't have unprotected sex. (Yes I'm aware that contraception isn't always 100% effective but we can talk about statistical anomalies regarding abortion another time.) There are so many outlets like adoption for mother's who aren't ready to parent. The fact …

I'm sure every person in this sub is against circumcision, but you make us all look like assholes. Pissing on someone's grave is extremely disrespectful to not only the deceased but their family as well. Great job acting like the pathetic little SJW's we stand against. I'm truly disappointed and I hope you learn from all this negative feedback. Oh, and anyone who supports this behavior is a total hypocrite. Bring on the downvotes.
/r/MensRights09/01/20 07:59 PM

That's not what it means. If you're going to form an opinion then it would be wise to use that logic in other applications to make sure its sound. Precise communication with logical analyses are great, but that's why even scientific researchers have a peer review process. One person might not see everything or might make a mistake in their...logic. But if you'd kindly tell me how our two scenarios, given your logic, are different, I'm all ears.
/r/MensRights04/01/20 01:44 PM

Obviously, but it follows the same logic train. Tell me how it doesn't.
/r/MensRights04/01/20 02:47 AM

With your logic, women shouldn't leave the house in anything but a chastity belt and ankle-long dress. Rape can be prevented but you don't want to take it to the extreme there? If 2 consenting adults engage in intercourse and 1 of those people deliberately deceives the other about contraception, it should be a felony, period. But unfortunately, society doesn't take equality seriously otherwise no one would have clapped on this show. They CERTAINLY would not have supported her if she was a man an…

I'm not a mother but I am a father of a beautiful 18-month-old little girl. My girlfriend (at the time) got pregnant and it was not planned. I couldn't tell you how absolutely terrified I was to bring a baby into the world because I didn't think I was even close to ready to be a parent. But let me tell you, my life changed the day she was born and I haven't looked back since. Our lives could have been significantly easier had we aborted (was never gonna happen), put her up for adoption, or just …

For what its it's worth, that subreddit makes no claim to this post. So either they're lying or the person who created it did so and then got a screenshot for karma, knowing it would be taken down. It's a pretty toxic sub over there but I've done a bit of scrolling and I don't see any support for false rape accusations.

Obviously the implication looks towards who has custody of the child/ren. Yes it takes 2 to have a baby but that's not what we're talking about. MOST of the time (although not always to the fault of the father) the mother is granted custody.
