Yup. If I'm at a grocery store, I'm there for the same reason she is. To get some groceries and be on with my day, not there in the hopes that I'll "accidentally" meet the love of my life.

That's a good thing. Because I'm not wanting to date a fish.

All he ever really opens with is "Hey, how's it going?" I personally only do this if I know them from prior experience like school or work. If I did that to a complete stranger their reaction 99% of the time is going to be "Ok, who the hell are you? And why the hell are you talking to me? I don't know you." If I approached women I dont know constantly in my area (no matter the intent) there'd be rumors going around, and not the good kind.

Could also depend on how big the city OP is in. If it's a major metropolis, it's not as big a deal. If it's a relatively small town, then it could be trickier

If you do the same things and wait for different results that's delusion. Same with asking out dozens of women only to not make any progress. There's trying, and then there's being stupid. Work smart, not hard. Pick your battles, and make sure there's a chance. Don't just throw random shit at a wall to see what will stick, that reeks of being desperate

Thing is, you should also do this in a smart way. Don't get rejected for the sole purpose of getting rejected. Nobody wants to have the reputation of the guy that asks out women and gets rejected all the time. That's a reputation that sticks. Find a situation where it's appropriate to ask her out Not to mention that I don't see how piling up rejections builds confidence. What builds confidence is positive feedback, or at least some indicator that you're on the right track. If you're thinking to …

Idk, sounds like a one-way ticket to creep city if you flirt with every girl you meet. When you keep piling up rejections, people will notice. Women who you haven't flirted with yet will think to themselves, "Am I his next target?"

Better to be silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt

Relaxed urgency is one thing, but from personal experience I'd find it incredibly weird/creepy if a random stranger approached me in a grocery store, I'm certain she'd feel the same.

I'm still a bit skeptical on the grocery store approach. When I see a woman at a grocery store, I don't think "she's wanting to meet the man of her dreams here", I think "She's here like any other human being is: To get some groceries and be on with her day"

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
