In a religious population how someone "looks" and their desirability, has nothing to do with whether they are virgins or not. For example, 33% of Muslim men in the US wait till marriage, while 40% of Muslim women wait till marriage in the US. Meaning, this argument you have given can be made for those who marry as virgins. But what about people who have slept with one, two three, etc, people. Why do they have better marital stability and report higher marital happiness than people with more sexual partners?
