I was going to write this almost exactly. This is literally the core to losing weight AND maintaining weight loss. The only slight thing I could add is if you want one/have the money Fitbit versa 3 includes a sleep tracker, food log with calorie counter, period tracker, fitness tracker, and a step tracker, plus some other metrics. So if you're looking for a more high tech tracking it's a great option. But if not pen and paper works just as well.

He sounds unwilling to commit. If he's unwilling to commit to you after you've already embraced femininity, lost a significant amount of weight, and truly changed yourself for the better what makes you think those extra 30lbs is going to change anything? By intimacy I assume you mean you're sleeping together so if he's willing to sleep with you now those 30 pounds are clearly not a hard limit for him to find your physically attractive.

Yeah I think people don't realize most parents don't "teach them" these types of things. My mom never sat me down and went "here is how you boil water, this is how you run a dishwasher etc." I just watched her do it and then tried to do it sometimes failing and then learning from those failures. I didn't know how to do laundry until one day I just did it. Sure did I put the fabric softener ball in the dryer confusing dryer balls and with the little fabric softener release ball absolutely. But no…

I'm a very good cook, while not a professional I take great pride in learning new cooking methods and perfecting dishes. My husband is almost always happy with the meal. The meals he's most impressed by? Oh just casseroles made of cream of whatever and lots of cheese. Cause that's what he grew up with. 😞 I've just resigned myself to while I can make an amazing smoked then reverse seared steak with dutchess potatoes he's going to give me the same response as if I fed him tuna noodle casserole. So…

What's causing the conflicts? No couple can avoid all conflict but senseless bickering is easily solved by just not baiting it. It's a lot easier to work through arguments together when not everything is an argument.

We've been together 9 years, married for 6. At this point I honestly can't tell you our dating anniversary because marriage trumped that one haha. We always celebrate our yearly marriage anniversary and we have a tradition of going to dinner and to see a play.

My rule is partner comes first friends come second. Don't ignore your friendships they're super important to have. You can't live a successful RP life without having female friends in my opinion. But you do need an importance hierarchy.

Umm probably like 30% trad I guess? I'm a housewife and let my husband lead. But that's pretty much where that stops. I frequently joke that my outsides don't match my insides I'm a housewife, only wear dresses, and am respectful to my husband at all times. But I'm also pretty confrontational,(when he's not around. When he is he normally will fight the battle for me and I let him) and outspoken, all of my beliefs lean pretty blue.

My god this is the first time I've ever had to take any medicine that wasn't like a short term antibiotic type. I really was not prepared for how much they can really impact my day. It's really giving me a great first hand example of what a chronically ill person might experience. I do one or two things then need to take a 10 minute sit down until I have enough energy to do another. I guess the meds are helping me stay humble at least. Lol

Maybe try intermittent fasting but adding faith based elements to it. I'm not religious but if I recall from my church going days there's actually quite a few fasting scriptures and the Catholic church talks quite a bit about the holiness of fasting.

Not to be rude just want to be blunt but 2-4 is bad vetting. 2 had unresolved trauma, 3 didn't want marriage (I know you said he said he did then changed his mind but 4 years is a long time to stay if marriage isn't a frequent discussion) and 4 was still married.

Honestly in modern arranged marriages they're actually pretty similar to how a lot of people date. You get your support network to do some hunting for you. It's just much more formal. It's really not too much different than "Hey I met my coworkers friend at happy hour and I think you two have a lot in common you should meet up."

I started a new medicine last week and damn it's kicking my butt. The side effects aren't supposed to last too much longer, just until my body adjusts, but I have no energy and muscle fatigue. My house is a wreck and we're surviving on door dash. But husband is being so wonderful and supportive about it and making me feel so less guilty about my piss poor homemaking over the last two weeks. 🥺

It will most likely take YEARS of couples counseling and personal counseling for you both before you can rebuild that trust. There's sadly no advice anyone can give it just takes time and hard work from both parties. Personally 3 years and not being married would not be worth the time and energy it takes to move past cheating for me.

I don't know maybe you live in the most passive aggressive town but I have never had anyone pay any attention to what I wear good or bad. Once in a blue moon I'll get a "oh I like your dress! Does it have pockets?" But that's pretty much it.

Yeah like I'm all for men and women being different, I don't get 90% of the stuff my husband likes, he doesn't get mine. We don't tell each other they're stupid, you can appreciate something just because it makes your spouse happy. That's not a men vs women thing that's a disrespecting your spouse thing.

I count anything before you live together is the honeymoon phase personally. Because moving in together is when stuff starts getting difficult.

Relationships are supposed to be hard later on. If it's hard early on when it's in the honeymoon phase it's likely only going to get harder. If you can't act like a team now it's going to be almost impossible when you're on a shoe string budget or the baby won't sleep, or someone in the family is sick and needs care.

We've been married for 6 years. He works from home and I'm a housewife so that's why there's a lot of spending time together during the day. Monday-Thursday We have our morning coffee together. We eat lunch together unless he has a meeting. We eat dinner together every night. Then after dinner we spend about 2 hours playing a video game either just us or with a group of friends all together. We always go to bed together and typically chat a bit before lights out. I'm also a ball of rage when renovating and have no children so you're not alone. We're re-doing our bathroom and I feel like the amount of times I have to say. "You never agree with me until it's all finished then you always love it. Why don't you just trust me?!" I gave up my pretty decent career path, I was a restaurant manager and in training for higher management at the age of 24. I was making almost double what everyone else I knew my age was making. I gave it up and went to a part time for an auction company and then moved to full time SAHW. I've been home at least part time for the last 6 years and I haven't regretted it once. I think the question you need to ask yourself is what do you value more having more money or having more time. Once you get…

I'd be more concerned about his not getting an ample amount of good sleep from sleeping on the sofa. I had to take a real hard look at how sleep impacts my life and that led me to looking into how sleep affects your body. Poor quality sleep affects literally every aspect of your life. Mentally, physically, even emotionally. I had no idea how many of my problems (particularly emotionally) were from poor sleep.

Lol same. I don't even have a single wedding photo up in our house! 🙈 Congratulations OP I'm so glad technology is so good nowadays that the women who are nostalgic have all the options at their disposal now. I also had a non-traditional wedding. But that literally has nothing to do with the strength of a marriage. All my non-traditional wedding had correlation with was we bought a house and didn't have the funds for a big wedding. Lol But you won't see me raining on someone's parade. We're re-doing the bathroom and I'm losing my mind. The entire house is a dust ball, there's stuff everywhere so cleaning is useless, it's an old house so we constantly have to update the plans because this and this won't fit in the tiny place. I've been having headaches I'm assuming from the constant banging and dust. And I'm nervous about the floor I picked because it's absolutely beautiful but it definitely is bold and I'm so nervous I'm going to hate it. Oh and the bathtub won't be here for …

Exactly I have no problem with him being the AH for letting his resentment get to the point where he yells at his wife. But am shocked at all the people being like "you're an AH for even implying she should dress up for a date".

I love the comments saying he should love her no matter what because as you age people change and he can't possibly expect a woman to be the same one you married. Acting like this was a gradual transition and wasn't a hard stop at "oh I don't have to see anyone but my husband? Guess I never need to look nice again! And forget my husband's opinion about it."

I know it shouldn't but it actually surprised me how many people thought he was not just the ass hole for how he handled it. (Which I agree he was aggressive and rude and should have had a conversation not just blew up at her.) But for wanting his wife to look nice for a date night.

I normally agree that it's a good idea to let grandparents have different rules and expectations at their house because it helps teach flexibility and situational expectations. But one child 12 popsicles and in 2 hours that's not spoiling that's encouraging children to binge.

So I'm not a man but I'm slowly grieving my father. He has a terminal disease that's deteriorated so it's a long step grieving process. While I do believe me and women tend to be different I think grief is absolutely individual so any specifics from any side aren't going to help. My best advice is to follow his lead. Some days he'll want to talk about it some days he won't. Always give the space to talk, like if you ask him how he feels and he says alright I guess. Wait a little bit to change th…

It really depends what does savings mean and how much is left. Our rule is to always have 3 months of bills in the account as an emergency fund, anything more than that we use for house updates, new appliances, vacations etc. I'd be fine taking money from that fund assuming it leaves behind the 3 months of bills. Retirement contribution also depends on how old we are. How much would be left, etc. If we're relatively young don't plan to retire for a bit and it's not a significant chunk of our ret…

That's good. Head trauma can have terrible long term hidden side effects. My husband's mother had a terrible car accident that resulted in her having very severe bi polar disorder. Not a single person in the family has ever been diagnosed with mental health issues before her or since. The fact that you're here looking for advice and reading means you see the problems. It'll take time and determination but I'm sure you got this. Changing dynamics are hard on their own and then on top of that throwing in the sleep deprivation and hormone fluctuations it's gonna be tough. I highly suggest reading the Empowered Wife by Laura Doyle. Something she really emphasizes is that while we think our lashing out at our husbands is because of our husbands actions it often is actually because we're not fulfilling our needs. And I imagine especially with a new baby you're probably at the bottom of your priority list so your needs aren't being met. When our needs aren't met our husbands often become our emotional outlet which then in turn makes them lash out at us. Then we feel …

Sex for men a lot of the times is a connection thing. You saying no to sex probably hurts as much if he said no to cuddling. It might help to change thinking about sex as oh he's asking for sex again to he's asking for physical closeness. As to help with your lack of sex drive it's gonna sound weird but just hear me out. More context is definitely needed OP. If you just make more money than him then that's not bad. If you get married it would then be our money not his and my money. So where the money comes from isn't important. Now if he has less money because he's bad at budgeting that's I'd say a yellow flag. My husband is not good at budgeting so it just became my job. Well I have an old Bissell crosswave that I haven't used in forever because it's not good enough for once a week big mop like I use to do. It's literally perfect for this. My housekeeping is being affected because of this. Not the doom scrolling because I limit that to twice a day but I guess just the silence during mundane tasks. I'll just be vacuuming and think how many women right now would give almost anything to just be in her home vacuuming her floors right now. It really gives perspective that while boring the mundane is it's all most people really truly want. Ours happened pretty naturally. But in both of our families Christmas, the big one for both sides, is not on Christmas day. Both families decided when we were kids that Christmas day is for your household and you do a bigger family Christmas another day. From what you're describing it's probably above reddits pay grade. You're trying to undue years of a coping mechanism put in place to survive trauma. I can't imagine any actionable advice is going to help until you work with a professional to help. It's really hard to break unhealthy coping mechanisms even with the help of a therapist I can't imagine anything a stranger on the internet is going to give you is going to be useful.

There's a lot that goes into something like building a successful company and not all contributions are tangible. And so I believe if a wife has helped contribute to the success of the company she does deserve a portion. I'm in no way saying that every wife deserves a portion of their husband's company. I'm saying, just like with most things, it depends on every individual couples lives. Which makes an equitable prenup a good idea.

I think it just depends on the situation and how that prenup is written. Like for example a company where the man started it before he met his wife but blew up when they were married I think she deserves a portion of that, a much smaller portion than him but still some. She most likely helped contribute to its success while married. Whether that's stepping up to the plate for their kids more often because dad has to work later. I was absolutely confused until I realized I missed a comma. "At the end of the day it's not even true, most men don't want to date sex workers." Meaning that his hot take that every woman should be a sex worker is false because then men wouldn't have any women to date.

You're allowed to have strong opinions. It's just extreme that one guy could make you cry because he has a shitty take. His opinion literally doesn't affect you and letting someone affect you this much isn't normal. At the end of the day it's not even true most men don't want to date sex workers so if every woman became one no man would ever marry again.

It's sadly a trap a lot of women fall in. I absolutely used to too. But there's hope I'm pretty sure a good portion of the women here are recovered "I wear the pants in the relationship" type women. Lolol

Someone else mentioned it but I really second reading Laura Doyle's empowered wife and she even has a weekly podcast. It's given out all the time as a suggestion here but it's for a great reason! She talks a lot about how wives often are the cause of the changes our husbands make good or bad. A man that pursued you doesn't sound like he was always submissive. Perhaps your masculine energy slowly chipped away at his until he became the submissive one. It's probably going to take lots of submissio…

Exactly saying "I need a minute to leave the room and calm down" is anger control. Giving silent treatment for 2 days is a punishment. OP I'm a little concerned you've spent so long in a relationship you found unfulfilling (seeing that you went to the literal other end of the spectrum of men) that the first "alpha appearing" man you're confusing with a HVM. If he's not open to it it's not going to be successful. And at this point if you use it as an ultimatum it won't be successful. Working on yourself takes a lot of discomfort, hard work, and introspection. If he already thinks step 1 is a waste of money and time he's definitely going to check out around step 3 when stuff gets unpleasant.

Ditto. I have plenty of guy freinds they're either gay, married or have no interest in me what so ever. Personally I would feel weird being friends with someone who was interested in me. I feel like I would never be able to tell if they actually wanted me or the idea of me as their girlfriend.

I'm so glad you're talking about this. My husband is 8 years older than me. When he was approaching 35 we had to have the conversation of it's now or never. He didn't want to be a dad to a new born dad at 40 and there was a decent chance with his age already being a little up there it was probably going to be a few years and likely some assistance. You absolutely can argue with his subjective views on things. If you don't enjoy being critiqued on how you sit (for example) you shouldn't be. Just like if he deems any criticism not valid he doesn't take it you reserve that right as well. And yes I understand that the topic is your need for praise but what I'm trying to get at is if he was not so readily willing to give criticism you wouldn't need to seek more validation than you already have. Relationships do take work when you're married and you need to choose your partner every day when you're married. Relationships are traditionally at their simplest early on. Also I will say relationships are far less work when you find someone who is very compatible with you.

Just in case he did have a problem with it, like our house couldn't handle a freezer load from the electric or something he could tell me. My husband's favorite joke when …

A lot of women fall into the mental trap of "I'm so mentally overwhelmed I can't stand to even think about what I need help with." Which I absolutely get. But something I had a reality check on when I became a full time house wife and started doing yardwork was "wow while I thought I knew what the yard needed I don't fully understand how everything works and where everything is." It was a very humbling experience to put myself in my husband shoes. I would often complain how do you NOT know where…

You should ALWAYS tell your parents about a first date or any date for that matter. Bad things happen and having someone know where you are, who you're with, and when you're coming home is INCREDIBLY important no matter how young you are. I was 21 when I went on my first date with my now husband and my mom knew where I was since I still lived with her.

I think it's needing to shift your mindset. You're not improving yourself because of him you're doing it for you. You need to take him out of the equation completely. You do the self improvement because you deserve to be everything you want to be. You also mention so many things on your to do list but few on his which sounds like the issue may be a labor imbalance. Which might be why you're feeling so resentful.

It's funny because I'm seeing a therapist, not for my marriage I see her for unrelated reasons, but occasionally she'll ask about my marriage. Well one day she asked how we resolve issues and I told her what I wrote here. She was so happy to hear it. Apparently she subscribes to this method and has to tell her married clients about how compromise often leads to hidden resentment. Everyone gets told compromise is the key to marriage but my therapist deeply disagrees.

I subscribe to compromise is not a good option. We go with sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. If you compromise neither person is actually truly happy so how is that fair? While if you strive for a fair amount of winning and losing 50% of the time you get exactly what you want. Pretty much we discuss until someone says alright you win. It's normally whoever is the most passionate because clearly they care more about the outcome. For big decisions sometimes it takes many many many discussi…

Congratulations! My husband has been WFH for well over a decade and he always said it's either the best thing or absolutely the worst thing depending on how good you are at keeping a strict work boundaries. You get people that put in 4 hours of work because they're screwing around or don't treat work with the same respect they do at the office. And others pulling 12 hours because some people can't just see something that will "only take a minute" and not do it. I'm glad you were able to find a j…

I've been a SAHW and husband has been WFH long before Covid. I always loved it so much and I'm glad (in this one sense obviously I'm not glad we had a pandemic) other's got to experience it. There's something so sweet about being able to poke my head into his office and be like "I'm making a latte do you want one?" I really hope companies let those who want to always WFH.

Right! I think I'm going to try and make something unique next week. Something I normally wouldn't make, I don't know what yet, but just to break up the routineness of it. Plus we normally try and eat pretty healthy so I'm sure part of the takeout draw is all the fat and salt. I can 100% tell you I have control issues as a coping mechanism to quiet my anxiety. My therapist and I are working on it. Like you said since women are more prone to anxiety I imagine that's what causes a lot of control issues. They've done plenty of studies on the dangers of this age dynamic and most of them turn at very poorly for the younger person. The only reason the 2 years is a concern to me is your age. Obviously I completely understand that life is stressful now and I get waiting. However there is a legitimate timeline to consider. Engagement at 32, 1 year to plan a wedding, it's 1 year of actively trying for kids before they even consider helping you TTC which is fairly likely in a older first time mama. Then 9 months until baby's birth that means you're looking at a very realistic time line of having your first child at 35. Obviousl…

Sadly societal ideas do matter in this scenario even if people like to pretend it doesn't. Let's take a couple who gets divorced it's mutual so no bad blood. They have two children. They owned a 4 bedroom home wih a yard, in a nice school district, with the paternal granparents living in that same town. After selling the house father downsizes to a smaller home. I actually have a theory on this and I think it's mostly societal and finical. Now that men need to be invested in every single child they have they need to make the children count. With child support and social stigmas most men don't father 20 children they father 2 or 3. When you have such smaller numbers you need to make sure you pick an appropriate mother to help raise them vs just relaying on the numbers like before. So I think some men confuse their feelings with natural monogamy. Most men…

Do you believe you would be able to provide me therapy to work on rebuilding my trust, self-esteem, and to help me become the woman I'm looking to be without making the goal be to leave my hu…

One bad therapist does not mean therapy doesn't work. That's like saying you don't like Picasso so all art is ugly. You're not spending "his" money your spending the families money to try and save the family. I'm going to be candid here, I've only seen two couples survive a cheating. Both of those couples involved therapy. Breaking trust is one of the hardest things for a relationship to recover from. When trust is broken it leads to spiral thoughts. "If he was willing to lie about X he'd be wil…

That's really nice and I'm sure you'll guys have a super fun time at 50! And your kids are sure going so grateful having both of you free to help with those grandbabies I'm sure. Husband's job is his passion and while obviously we are planning for retirement he actually hopes to work long after retirement age if he can do it.

Eveyone thinks their way of life is the best way. Someone else succeeding using ideals that directly contradict their own makes them feel like their way of life is being threatened and may not be the best. People who are confident in their life choices don't typically go on Reddit to pick apart someone else's choices. Now obviously legitimate questions about trying to understand someone else's life is completely different I have tried to answer every one of those. However there are many comments…

Before I left the workforce I worked in the restaurant business and I did every job through the years. The restaurant industry is very great for situations like mine. It has a very high amount of people leaving the industry for years to try other carrers or have children that pop back in eventually. So if you put a gun to my head and said what's your plan B if all falls apart I suppose it's that.

I understand the point you're trying to make, but in our scenario it doesn't work. My husband's career started as a hobby when he was a kid. He loves his job and always has. He does what he's passionate about and he wouldn't trade it for more money even if you offered. Which he gets messages from recruiters frequently trying to head hunt him. For years I worked a job I did not like to help support us when he was not making great money, he has always been the one who has worked his passion job no…

We actually have pretty active social life. I host book club evey month as well as board game night. Every other Thursday we do a big group dinner with friends. I also try and host at least one party a month. We're the ones who always host since I'm home and can easily make all the food. And for freinds who work I actually don't know a single person who doesn't work. We have similar interests so I don't have a hard time connecting with them.

I can't even imagine! Stay at home moms are seriously my heros. I spend almost 40 hours a week doing all of our home matinance. The fact that they do half the things they manage to get done in a day is amazing and they deserve the world.

I personally wouldn't say it's harder it's just different. But I don't have children and I love being a homemaker so I'm most likely a minority there. However it is definitely more mentally taxing for me than a normal job. I never really leave my work place and I don't get a day off. If I'm sick the work just piles up and piles up and there's no one to help off load any of it to. That really nice deep sigh people do when they walk out of their work on a Friday I don't get that. I never really ge…

No kids I just try to make as much food from scratch as possible. Trying to avoid all the added sugar and sodium. I'm not offended or anything by your comment. I'm just trying to dispell the myth that housewives without kids sit on their butts all day. But I do 100% understand the concept that a task will take however long you allow it to take. Believe me when I'm sick it can take me 20 minutes to unload the dishwasher. One obnoxiously slow dish at a time while I long for bed. Lol

I spend 3 hours a day cleaning. A morning, afternoon, and evening cleaning routine and 2 hours making food 20 for breakfast, 30 for lunch, and an hour and some change for dinner. My morning routine for example starts with unloading the dishwasher, scooping the cat litter boxes, and doing the hot tubs chemicals. That takes me roughly 10 minutes between the 3 of those things. Then I add laundry to the wash which takes about 5 minutes to sort through the laundry, take the basket downstairs, check a…

Not necessary true. I have calculated the time in which I have spent doing "work" cleaning, cooking, errand running, yard work etc. I come in around 40 hours a week average. It depends on a lot of things. How large your home is, how throughly you like to deep clean your home, do you value making food from scratch or are you just as happy opening a jar. I don't "work" 8 hours a day I work 5 and have about 4 extra hours divided between Sundays and Mondays for errand running, budgeting, meal planni…

Congrats! I've gotten the most amount of satisfaction in my life doing this for the last 2 years and I hope she'll feel the same. It's an amazing feeling. I assume it just stems from the fear of putting 100% of your trust in your spouse. Me putting trust into my husband to always provide and my husband that I don't take advantage of his financial situation. It's really scary to blindly trust that someone has your best interests in mind. At the same time I think that's what's so beautiful about a…

I totally understand how some people don't see what I do as work and so it's not valuable to them and that's ok. As for me and my husband what I do is valuable to us. We value having the most amount of free time possible over the amount we could be earning. For you and your wife/husband you will most likely just value different things than us.

My husband does yes and I stay home. He makes good money and we live very comfortablely. It's not that I refuse to work, I actually use to be a restaurant manager in the beginning of our relationship when he made far less money. When he moved up in his career he and I had a discussion. He knew I had always said I'd like to be a housewife and he honestly was tired of having to split the chores 50/50 so we decided to try me being a housewife. I find that lots of people focus on how nice it is for …

Yeah it's stupid expensive, like annoyed I pay this much for skincare expensive. But most things last me about a year (I also don't do normal skincare on Sundays I use just water, their facial mask, then I use their hydration leave on mask) so that helps extend my time too. Plus twice a year Sephora has a big sale that's 10% or 15% off your order so I just stock up then.

I just use the drunk elephant skincare line. I also have super sensitive skin so I found drunk elephant moisturizer in a sample at Sephora once, realized it didn't turn my face on fire, and stuck with it ever since. It's really pricey but at this point in my life my skin hates so much that I can't be bothered to try and find an alternative. I also make it stretch longer by only doing half pumps of everything. I find that doing a full pump is not necessary so I get about double the amount of time…

To piggy back off this tactic in a less awkward manner is a night time drive. Anytime I want to talk about something that feels weird/embarrassing face to face we stop at a fast food place grab two drinks, turn on music to a medium volume and just drive. Watching the road instead of looking at each other and having the darkness sheild any awkwardness really helps give you confidence to lay everything out. Plus the added benefit of drinks gives you something to mess with and take breaks from talk…

Thank you. My weekday morning routine is first alarm goes off I then lay in bed and read until second alarm goes off which is 15 minutes after the first. Then I hop in the shower. I wash my hair every weekday, but I give it a rest on the weekends. Plus I use bumble and bumble everyday shampoo so it's super gentle. Having clean fresh hair is one of those things that makes me feel super good. I love the smell of freshly washed hair. The night before I add YouTube videos to a playlist so I can enjo…

I try to incorporate self care into my everyday routine. I find that doing things that you feel are luxurious and unnecessary but still fun is a really great way to take care of yourself. At 9pm every night a make myself a cup of tea and put it in a actual tea cup. No mug an actual delicate beautiful tea cup and I sit down and plan out tomorrow in a beautiful gold monogramed planner. After that's done I go upstairs to do my skincare routine and act like it's a spa. I do it slow and purposefully …

Yes but NFP is a form of birth control. The belief in Catholicim in not using birth control is that you're not putting your faith in the Lord by letting him decide your family. The fact that her husband was ok with NFP means he's already pretty loose with that idea in the first place. If talking through serious marital concerns are problematic in a marriage then the couple needs counseling to work on communication. If someone feels like they can't talk about legitimate concerns then the marriage…

I'm sorry are you actually saying that she should take their mutual family planning into her own hands because being upfront and honest about her feelings would hurt their marriage? Lieing to your spouse about important life decisions is not ok. It takes two people to make a family and he has equal grounds on deciding how, when, and where that family happens.

Is he anti condoms as well? I know that's a person to person belief but technically natural family planning is a form of birth control it self. So maybe he might be willing to change his mind on at least condoms if he's alright with NFP. If you haven't already you should have a deep and direct discussion about how you're just not emotionally ready for another one yet. Maybe he hasn't quite realized how much the birth has effected you. We tend to think we're being direct but if you don't point bl…

Buy a meat thermometer. Undercooked or over cooked meat is what normally ruins food. A meat thermometer fixes all that. Also only cook on medium low or low. Getting distracted while sauteing when you're trying to do 5 things is how you burn food and ruin a recipe. I also suggest measuring out ALL the ingredients and chopping veggies before you even start cooking. Cooking is a multitasking skill. If you're just starting having everything laid out, measured, and ready helps you not over cook one t…

I can confirm this. I take a hot bath most nights as part of my bedtime routine. Even if I only have a 10 minute soak it really helps. There's something so wonderful about taking a few minutes to decompress and do something most people consider luxurious for yourself on the daily.

I find the whole man cold thing so ridiculous. I do believe a lot of women handle discomfort better than man. Lots of women from teenage hood once a month have to deal with headaches, nausea, back pain, cramps etc.. so for 12 weeks out of every year lots of women have to put on a brave face and deal. At a certain point you get use to your type of discomfort. Lets be honest a lot of flu symptoms minic menstrual pain. That's not to say that a man shoud be told to tough it up because he's not use t…
