2	Who Should Leave the House Also CO resident here. The way this plays out is whoever leaves will lose the house completely. As long as it was purchased after you 2 were married, Colorado does not care how it is titled. 2	Need advice ! Get a lawyer! Your STBXW seems power hungry. It will get worse without getting checked. Never say no to communicating with your kids - it will be held against you in court. If there is no protection order in place communicate any way you want. I agree with an earlier comment of maybe you agree to communicate with your X the way she wants (kinda like an olive branch) but stand firm that you want direct communication with your kids.
