8	The truth about circumcision No, this is a common misconception. The WHO describes four types of FGM with several subtypes. The type most people think of when they hear “FGM” is infibulation, the most severe type. Less severe types of FGM exist and are very much analogous to male posthectomy. FGM Type IA amputates the female prepuce (clitoral hood) while male posthectomy amputates the male prepuce (foreskin). They are anatomically equivalent procedures.	/r/TheRedPill	02/08/18 06:15 AM
