This indigenous incarceration thing always bothers me. Culturally we live very differently. If the laws are set by the colonists, indigenous people don’t always prescribe to them. Retiring is the formal process of getting your countries version of superannuation / pension / weekly payment for being retired. I think a lot of this comes from women having statistics reported and men’s stats not being reported whatsoever, or ONLY being reported as being the perpetrator.
