I've known it forever but only been diligent the last few years. Within a couple of months there's a pretty big mental shift.

clean starch and lean meat in modest portions 3 times a day is the best diet in my opinion. I've done everything under the sun with scientific rigor. nothing beats clean starch and lean meat. rice and baked fish or chicken whole wheat bread with carved turkey noodles and top sirloin add in some steamed veggies and fruit here or there. get cronometer and diligently track your calories and make sure you're in a slight deficit every day when you're trying to lose weight. get a food scale and cup me…

No More Mr Nice Guy and When I Say No I Feel Guilty should be required reading for boys in high school.

why are you bitching about it on here if you don't care? sounds like she did both of you guys a favor unless you actually do care.

sex 3x a month is bare minimum style duty sex just to keep you there until she is for sure ready to jump ship. outside of series injury or illness, it should tell you all you need to know. She may not have physically cheated on you, but she is completely emotionally checked out. when someone is completely emotionally checked out, they don't care about crossing boundaries at all, and they find excitement elsewhere. this applies to all people, man or woman. now, I don't think that means you need t…

brother. you have no history of posting here. You didn't mention any of the internal work that you've done. just your time in the gym and your body fat, which is the 100x less important than your headspace. You didn't mention if you've read the core material. Have you even read no more Mr Nice Guy or when I say no I feel guilty? Any of the sidebar? or are you just here to have guys justify your asinine and insecure boundaries? I'm calling out exactly what I see. With the information you've given…

I don't say this lightly. you are severely mentally disturbed. you are a young man with intense insecurities. this woman should leave you. I don't see any scenario where you fix your mindset in the near future.

looking good is important for how you feel about yourself. that's probably more important than exactly how you look. you carry yourself with confidence. I've known plenty of fat fucks that get plenty of sex because they actually like themselves and it shows. and as far as money is concerned, yeah it's important that the bills are payed, but even more importantly you're more relaxed and fun when you're not stressed about money. it's all about the vibes.

keep it to yourself simply because it is work for you. not because it HAS to be a secret. why would your wife care about this stuff? would you want your wife to tell you about the new woman's blog she's reading? you wouldn't care anyway unless she was being annoying with the material she was learning. Then you'd kindly tell her to stop talking about that drivel. You're overthinking everything. Who cares if you leave a book on the shelf? she's hardly going to be interested in what man stuff you'r…

even in a long term relationship you should wake up every day knowing life would be totally fine if your woman up and left that day. that you wouldn't miss a beat and you'd be excited to explore the world on your own. You have to truly feel that. Your lady has to feel that in you. genuinely. If she doesn't feel that inside of you, she isn't going to want to be led or be a part of your life. that isn't to say you can't have fun with your partner or ever be sweet or caring. there's a time and plac…

everyone has boundaries of some sort. even people with very low self esteem have some boundaries. it's up to two people to figure out if they can navigate a relationship with both sets of boundaries in place.

no more Mr Nice Guy and when I say no I feel guilty should have covered this pretty well for you already. it's not your job to avoid things that make her feel bad and it's not you job to explain or defend why you do things. it's really pretty simple. you just care too much about her emotions and don't care enough about yourself. women's emotions are fleeting anyways. stop avoiding things that make her her jealous. and don't care if she's mad when you get home. don't care if she tries to make you…

if your girlfriend isn't jealous she's just not that into you. jealousy is a fun game honestly. if you handle it well and aren't phased by it then they usually get over it quickly and go back to trying to make you happy until the next time they feel jealous for a little bit a day or a few days or a week later. sometimes my wife will do the craziest shit when she feels jealous. I don't react to it. I'm playful about it and show that her reactions won't change what I do. Sometimes she snaps back t…

try the regular three meals a day for a few weeks with carbs and see how it goes. meat and rice, oatmeal and eggs. you get the idea. you'll feel more balanced

your mindset is hot garbage. There's too much here for me to unpack but I'm sure someone else here will nail it point by point. also I can't tell by how you phrased it but if you're regularly fasting you should stop fasting if it's going to make you a diva. Elevated cortisol and adrenaline from fasting turns some people into emotional wrecks.

every person is unique to some extent. some women really are comfortable with way less physical affection than others. for some women that may be a sign of complete disinterest. only you can really know that by knowing your wife
/r/askMRP02/01/24 07:08 PM

if you only get shit tests and no comfort tests then you may just need to keep working on yourself until you get some comfort tests. she may not want physical touch or affection because she's not that attracted to you. again I don't know and taking advice from strangers online with so little info is dangerous because you can take things the wrong way and just blow up your marriage with bad advice. the safe thing to do is just keep working on yourself without overthinking your marriage. Keep work…

there can be a lot of causes for this. she may just not require much physical touch. she may be bored. She may feel like physical touch and affection always leads to sexual advances so avoids it except when she explicitly wants sex. who knows. not enough info here.

I think some guys are being hyperbolic here about 99-100 percent chance she's cheating on you. Life is never as certain as this. But if not cheating there's a chance she's at least looking around at her options. there are women that fall out of love without needing someone to monkey branch too immediately or before the break up. sounds crazy in this sub but it happens.

healthy masturbation is about being comfortable with your own sexuality and getting used to being in tune with you own pleasure. it's about not being a people pleaser. maybe you don't need that kind of internal work, but I do. it has helped a lot. when you're comfortable with your own needs and pleasure, other people will want to meet your needs more too. I've found that I'm less tense during sex after doing this work. Im focused more on my pleasure and I'm more present and that in turn is bette…

I don't really have any advice there. I only do it when I feel mentally ready for it. I focus on my own body and my own sensation and really work at not drifting from that. I've had a pretty easy time doing it when I wait for the right time and feel like I'm in the right head space. I do it mid day if that helps at all

for sure. it's an uncomfortable thing to talk about for most men. plus there's the NoFap community that has almost become a part of red pill communities and that pushes sexual integration even further into the shadows in some ways.

not concerned about haters. I'm on my own journey and just use the resources here to develop myself. if I find something useful that I don't think is talked about here much, I may post again in the future.

I think Glover had some experience with karezza, Taoist prices or tantra. he doesn't give a lot of explanation but I figured he didn't want to go too deep on the topic given his target audience. He gives enough advice though to get people thinking about their sexuality in a more integrated way and it's really the only advice I've needed so far to get the ball moving in the right direction. and yeah you gotta balance the beast with the connection.

I was waiting for one of these comments 😂 I'm no expert here by any means. I'm new here. But NMMNG is one of the most important texts in the sidebar and mentioned constantly. I think maybe Glover was on to something there.

I'm still working on it and it's early on but it seems to be working quickly. I've only done it 4-5 times in the last few weeks. Every time feels more healing than the last. No shame. no disgust with myself. My wife and I are still having regular sex through early pregnancy. I'm going to keep doing it least once a week for a long time and see if it has further positive effect. it's kind of insane to think that not once in my life have I ever masturbated in a way that really connected me to mysel…

it wasn't a net negative in my life. I almost never jerk off in general and usually don't for months at a time. in my teens and part of my twenties that was an issue. my problem was with sexual shame and covert contracts and healthy masturbation seems to help.

I started dressing very simply but very nice the last couple of months in sleek brown dress shoes, tailored black slacks, tucked in black, grey and white slim v-neck shirts with rolled sleeves, and a brown belt. sometimes I wear a nice fitted button up, black or deep navy blue. it's simple but really does the job. I get treated with more respect in my day to day life, people are nicer to me, and I genuinely just feel a lot better about myself. My wife made a ton of comments at first about how sh…

you don't have any kids with her. literally zero reason to patch it up. I imagine most guys here only care enough to fix their marriage because of children already involved. otherwise we'd be out looking for a fresh start where we can control our frame from the jump instead of having to slowly prove a new frame over time with mixed results.

to be totally honest I think I've done all of that, especially the last few months. I feel like id be totally fine moving on. It's the family situation that makes me want to see if there's a solution but other than that no oneitis. And I just go do my own thing now more than ever. she stays to herself and I do too. every few days she has an outburst that's pretty wild but I handle them better than I used to. calm and not defending myself anymore I've taken up a bunch of hobbies. oh yes most definitely. I read no more Mr Nice Guy last year and listened to the audiobook again recently when I saw it was required reading in the side bar. I am almost done with When I Say No I Feel Guilty. I'll go through the side bar and try to figure out more subtle levels of consequence.

hey man. I really do appreciate your thoughtful input too. Things have been escalating every day. I haven't been using any MRP philosophy on her besides staying calm and trying not to DEER. I don't fully understand some of these concepts yet so I don't want to try to use them prematurely. I probably have a lot of my own problems still. i don't really understand the right amount of comfort to give my wife right now and have had problems keeping boundaries for my entire life with people I have lon…

thanks for all of the input. my gut instinct is that she's so insecure that it's eating her alive and would almost rather nuke the relationship with her attitude because she really feels like it's impossible to climb the mountain and make herself feel valuable enough to belong. but maybe I'm very misguided. I'll keep reading and reconsidering. edit: I have replaced her before a few times when we were dating in the past. I dated her off and on for ten years before we got married. not an ideal set…

I ask my wife those open ended questions when she goes on and on about me leaving her and finding someone younger and prettier, and she will list all of these qualities that other women can provide like more sex, happier, better looking, younger, more energetic, more eager to please me, better at taking care of those house, etc. and she says all this without even thinking for a second about adopting some of those qualities haha. Im really at a loss with her right now but I'm just going to keep c…
