Add a little light hearted teasing, flirty compliment, natural touch. Now you’re not putting her on a pedestal and showing you intend to be more than a nice guy pal.

Especially during corona that’s been easy to set up, but it’s uncommon that I’ll have sex that first night. Anything up to there is often on the table though. I don’t mind waiting until the second or third date for sex and then keeping them around for a few dates to few months. For me the best use of time is to not chase one night stands, better to have a steady rotation of casual relationships.

So so many of the women I’ve met and am friends with have a rule about not fucking on the first date. Impressed you can pull that off but it sounds like largely a numbers game that I’m not up for.

Every one of mine has been amicable. They might be sad, sometimes I might be. But we talked about expectations openly from the beginning and got to a point where we just need to move on. If they threatened to leave I’d just say ok, I mean that’s kind of the point.

Generally I let it be implied that there are others unless being direct is needed. Don’t ask don’t tell. At some point the “what are you looking for” conversation happens, and I tell them I’m at a stage in my life where I’m not at all ready for a committed serious relationship. This pretty much implies non monogamy. Sometimes they will suggest not using condoms and relying on birth control, at which point I’m pretty direct but gentle about being at a stage in life where I need to be dating a var…

What’s loosely your process for setting up a no date fuck appointment? How does the approach vary with women you met on apps vs in person? I get a decent number of matches on apps, good conversion to drinks and then a healthy casual sexual relationship from there, but it take a lot of time messaging. Therefore I don’t rotate women as quickly as I’d like because of the work getting to that point. I rarely have success with a more forward approach trying to set up a hookup. I’ve actually never tri…

Two condoms is less safe than one. They can rub against each other and tear. Don’t double bag it. This is somewhat similar to my advice, but I prefer to keep a woman around rather than pump and dump. I’m busy, and the apps take too much time. At least compared to having two or three women available at any time who I enjoy the company of, sex is good, and most importantly they stick to the boundaries I’ve clearly communicated. The main ones being about limits on seriousness, and we either pay our…

Do you need a partner or do you need companionship? There are women out there who will play the dating game by the rules that you design for yourself. Coming off my divorce I’m very hesitant to cohabitate or marry again, but I enjoy keeping a few women in my life for companionship and sex. I set boundaries and enforce them kindly. We alternate paying for things, we don’t go on “romantic” dates, they understand I’m not going to spend a ton of time texting, etc- point being I have communicated som…

If there is a single person in this world that you care about, suicide cannot be an option. It sounds like you at least care about your son. Think about how proud you will be about your success once you’ve overcome these difficult circumstances.

I rarely meal plan but have a great diet because I generally cook in large batches and always have leftovers available for lazy meals, and I do not keep any unhealthy foods in the house.

I’m rooting for OP and think the commenter discouraging him is misguided. How is the third part at odds with the first two? Maybe this is just a schism in the church of MGTOW. I don’t think casual relationships are necessarily at odds with going your own way.

The sub is full of guys who equate going your own way with swearing off women forever. They think every relationship with a female inevitable leads to doom. Going your own way means you’re driving the bus and not changing the route for anyone but yourself. Women can hop on if you let them, and you can kick them off too. You have to communicate intentions and boundaries and only accept women who are respectful of those. Pretty simple really.

Every FWB I’ve ever had, we check in regularly about how we’re feeling. They’re almost always financial and emotionally independent women who have the same intentions as I do. That kind of vengeful stuff is not going to happen if feelings are identified and discussed early on. Usually that’s when the relationship ends. Communication is important. They can be uncomfortable conversations at times. Not everyone is good at that. That’s fine.

I’m far from a PUA and I never said I’m slaying models. It’s not a rare ability at all to be able to get dates and develop a FWB from there occasionally. I’m confident and reasonably attractive and decent at conversation- and I understand not all men are so fortunate, but it probably helps that I don’t hate women too.

MGTOW is about independence and self ownership and not compromising on goals for anyone else. You can go your own way with male friends in your life. You can go your own way with female friends in your life, and sleep with some of them. It’s all about say no and being wary of your boundaries being encroached on. With honesty and communication from the beginning and throughout this has never been a problem for me. And I am certainly going my own way in terms of my lifestyle, decisions, short and …

I guess we just see it differently, and that’s fine. Even with FWB it’s not just a few minutes pleasure. The women I sleep with generally mean a lot to me and I value the connection we have and the personal growth that develops from that, like any relationship. The time I spend with them outside of sex isn’t tedium. That’s the friends part of FWB. The MGTOW part is that despite all this, it doesn’t mean I’ll compromise my goals or values for them though.

Sorry, but getting laid is awesome, and it can be done without sacrificing my goals. That’s what condoms and birth control are for. RP and MGTOW are both about not letting others control your life, acknowledging challenges that men face, but not necessarily shutting out all women. We all have to make our own choices and will be accountable for our decisions, but I enjoy sex, I enjoy certain females company, and abstinence is a sacrifice not worth making in my opinion. It might be “effective” but…

I’ve experienced 1, 2, and 5. If feelings develop- either person- and you’re not interested in pursuing them, then break it off. Who cares? Even if #3 who cares? Unwanted baby obviously would be awful but that’s what condoms are for and most women who say they are on birth control are honest. Sure some risk there but not worth never getting laid from time to time.

Lol, seriously. What does ending badly even mean for a FWB? Maybe some short term emotional challenges, but the whole point is to find someone who shares a mutual understanding about the nature of the relationship and respects the boundaries that you each set. If a FWB can’t exist within your boundaries, move on, who cares.

ONS have their place, but for me those have been serendipitous events. I don’t have the “game” or looks or whatever to set up a ONS on Tinder, but I have no problem getting dates and from there it’s a matter of being upfront from the beginning about expectations. It’s pretty nice being able to have a FWB available to spend the night without any real effort. Sure sometimes one of you will catch feels, and sometimes that’s when the relationship has to end, but paranoia about a stalker is not worth…

I’m divorced and certainly was financially burned through both the relationship itself and divorce. I have learned to set boundaries, enforce them gracefully, and enjoy some healthy relationships as a result. My goal is to encourage others to adopt this mindset instead of the toxic one so often promoted on this sub about not having any women in your life.

Sex is more than getting your dick wet. Definitely not the same experience with a prostitute as someone who’s into you. And to OP’s question: because it’s fun. Not every woman is a money pit. Having a FWB who is fun to hang out with, have sex, pays her bill or alternate dates, is awesome. Dating is not necessarily a path to financial doom or even a serious relationship for that matter. I don’t understand why so many on this sub feel like you need to spurn all female contact to go your own way. J…

Some women mistreat men. Some men mistreat women. Some women mistreat women. Some men mistreat men. Shitty people are shitty. It’s up to you to define your goals and filter out anything that detracts from them- that includes people, habits, attitudes. Set boundaries, communicate and enforce them gracefully with the people around you. Inevitably a person or relationship will violate the principles that you have defined for your success and happiness. If this can’t be corrected, then you should re…

You don’t have to break up and be single forever, but you do need to set boundaries. If this relationship cannot exist within those boundaries, then maybe consider breaking up. Going your own way means making a commitment to your goals and not letting others detract from them. Relationships can be compatible with that, though boundaries can creep and be violated over time. It took me experience to learn what my boundaries are and how to clearly but kindly communicate and enforce them so that I c…

Going your own way should have nothing to do with an attitude toward women. It should be about pursuing excellence, defining that for yourself, and doing it for yourself. It’s a mistake to conflate going your own way with celibacy and avoidance of all women. Some are saying sex is overrated- it’s not everything, but it’s fun and many value the connection that can come with it. Women are not toxic. Some are, but many are wonderful people. Sounds like you have had some bad experiences, but just co…

Generally agree, but the right type of skilled labor can never be outsourced. Arguments otherwise tend toward defeatist ideas of disempowerment. We are capable and worthy of more than the outcomes that you describe.

Absolutely the bulk is a deciding factor. Ideally you’d go try them out and see what I mean. Strats have cutouts for the belly and arms that let it nestle up right against you. LPs just do not naturally contour whether you’re sitting or standing. I’m in shape so the weight isn’t a strength thing, it’s like wearing a heavy backpack on one shoulder if you’re standing up and can make my leg fall asleep sitting down. Tone preference is personal taste and dependent on musical style but is also largel…

Strats are sooo much more comfortable to play. Feels better, play more. LP tone is nice but they’re so heavy and awkward to hold. If you have one electric I’d definitely go strat and especially if you’re just playing at home. Beautiful Taylor though, love the grain on the fretboard.

Move the capo closer to the fret. Have fun.
