Isn't this less of a sample size type question and more of a 'how many women in your life actually do have boyfriends/husbands' type question. I think the majority of females that are committed don't actively make as much eye contact or aren't as receptive/swayed as they would be if they were spoken for.

Lots of it seems to come from the fact that there is an audience that is already receptive and vocal to their interactions (now and in the past because they are both celebrities) .. Their demeanor would change if no one laughed or responded to them.
