My thoughts reading this hyperbolic example are that this is someone who needs to find contentment living as instead of living towards something, unless his personality is actually just being the short king Ubermensch. Hitting the gym 7x a week . . . what? Hitting the gym 3-4x a week is already a time commitment that needs work to get integrated into relationships, let alone being a full blown gym rat. OP’s hyperbole works against getting the advice they’re looking for, if this isn’t just a bait…

I think some women want a guy that fits the stereotypes you can see within the trades but they don’t actually want a relationship with someone who has a blue collar work/life balance, and they won’t commit to someone who really only has 1-2 days a week for “relationship stuff”, if they don’t travel for work. I’m having a hard time putting my thoughts on this into words, but anecdotally, my two most stereotypically masculine friends have grinded things out with their high school sweetheart in a w…

Yes, it’s further validation that I can completely ignore some people. You don’t get a participation trophy. Some blue pill and red pill flairs live so deep in their echo chamber that it’s just a waste of time to converse with them. I often read a response to my comment and just don’t bother responding. Particularly with some blue pill flairs, it feels like we’re not just arguing about a movie, it feels like we’re not even talking about the same movie. There’s no reason to continue the conversat…

As most straight men find cis women more attractive than trans women, as well, and this is commonly known, I’m not sure there’s much of a debate to be had here.

I agree, but mostly just on dating apps. Talking to women I’ve met on dating apps feels like navigating the job market, irl still feels like the good ol’ days. I agree that the self improvement schtick is over emphasized, it’s only important if you’re in a dire situation like obesity, poverty, something that extreme.

Your appearance affects your demeanor and behavior. And on confidence and charisma, is it better to have your social worth dependent on your performance or by simply existing? In the scenario of your personality overcoming your exterior, you’re already dependent on people giving you a time investment. It’s hard to compare them or say one is as important as the other when the former is basically a free “win” button going into interactions with people.

I think the truth is that the Matrix reference has just lost all relevance in here since most people who flair as Blue Pill are actually ideologues of their own.

How many men suffered in quiet isolation before we had online spaces to relate to people through their divorce and involuntary celibacy? I’m betting a lot.

I get the impression that this framing device (OP’s) is used to make someone feel morally superior to what is just “Chad”. You can’t just admit women are attracted to people who are higher on the totem pole, it has to be coated in a narrative. It has to be the women’s fault, or the other men who are dastardly and underhanded. The villain narrative is so damn tired.

Sometimes red pill and feminist spaces just feel like a dumping ground for unfiltered neurodivergent thoughts.

No, just staying at a low enough BMI not to negatively impact facial aesthetic. I’ve noticed next to no difference from how women treat me before and after lifting, between being average skinny at 145lbs, fairly jacked at 180lbs, and now lean at 155lbs. Maybe I got a bit more attention at 180lbs? But honestly it just felt like “different” female attention. It felt like more women who were older than me (30’s) before and now it’s more women who are younger than me (early 20’s).

I find Tinder frustrating and can only use it for a few weeks at a time but have fallen into dating people IRL from time to time by way of being attractive. Still no serious LTR’s, I tend to self sabotage and become low effort. I have no advice to give besides “be attractive” and they will come. If I had to put effort into it and I really lived and died by navigating the dating market I would have completely given up years ago, as soon as my college relationship ended. You can’t beat being facia…

All we know is she pulled an at least average looking guy in the top 0.17% for height, so why would we postulate about anything else. For all we know he could have kept smoking weed and she’d keep settling to show up for Chad dick on his parents couch every weekend. They even stated she’s relatively unattractive. Despite my flair I don’t really consume much black pill content or hang out in those spaces, but this is one of the most “black pilled” anecdotes I’ve seen in this subreddit.

My friends and I always get married in Elder Scrolls Online for a 10% experience bonus. All in all, not bad. I’d marry a bro IRL for a 10% income bonus.

This whole analogy just reminds me of a sketch with non-actor women on the show and one of them admitted she omits certain details early on in dating and the host said “Why are you trying to sell me a car without the carfax? I think you’ve had too many accidents.”

High school and college are the easiest time to date because looks and personality are almost the only thing that matter. The only thing that changes as an adult is that your career and income get added to the equation. How the hell does adding more parameters make dating easier? If you’re the 0.1% of ugly people making six figures in IT as an adult? You also claim social status didn’t impact dating in school . . . ? Ugly ducklings existing doesn’t mean that dating is actually easier as an adult…

The three combined cities that make up the area I “live in” has a population of about 65,000 in the middle of nowhere and we still have multiple MMA gyms, 24 hour gyms, and bars, breweries, etc if you consider “getting tanked” a hobby. Plus, most hobbies are things that you do by yourself, on your own time. OP would have an easier time complaining about how the space in their apartment guts their hobby more than their location. Not to mention all nerd hobbies have an online outlet and you can ge…

It does seem like the difference between the amount of positive affirmation men and women receive during their lifetime is astounding. As a somewhat conventionally attractive male I’ve gotten a taste of positive feedback for just “showing up” in my life but the difference still looks like night and day on the other side of the pond. And in my experience the people who usually go out of their way to tear women down are other women, if it isn’t a partner or family member.

It just reads like they’re taking an opportunity to broadcast their resentments against men and is impossible to engage with, in my opinion.

There’s no reason to assume there isn’t any sexual attraction at play here. I’d assume most of these scenario’s happen when a one person is a “maybe” and they string each other along for weeks or months. I mean, at least that’s how it went when I was on the giving and receiving end of situationships like that. But you can boil it down to a nerd with a completely unrequited attraction to a peer if it helps you sleep at night.

Either parties can be manipulative. If a woman’s letting a man be emotionally and financially supportive with absolutely no interest and she’s leading him on, she’s being manipulative. If the guy is lovebombing a friend with the hopes of getting the nookie when she’s lonely one night, he’s being manipulative. Obviously, the person who wants sex is at the disadvantage since the woman is the gatekeeper to sex in this scenario. Seeing self identified blue pillers sound more binary in their descript…

There’s no reason to think it works in the US & Canada. A while ago there was a study with (iirc) 180 participants and an AI couldn’t even find a pattern in what successful couples had in common 7 months later. TRP is a prescription used by thousands of nameless, faceless men and we have no reason to think it has absolutely any impact on them, outside of getting them to do the bare necessities of showering and possibly exercising.

The worst one I’ve seen lately was a guy talking about his wife assaulting his children and one of the most upvoted threads was about her mental health and how exhausting raising kids can be. You can see how insidious things really are when a scenario has people essentially broadcasting “women before children”. A similar argument broke out in one of my lit classes in college (neglectful parent (woman) and inhospitable home conditions) and it was the final nail in the coffin for losing any faith …

I have absolutely no clue what you’re talking about. My personal POV changes when two people have committed to marriage and children, until then feel free to dump your partner like a soaking wet bag of potatoes for whatever reason, regardless of whatever gender either of you are.

I felt like escaping both my LTR’s when the stress outweighed any net positives from being in the relationship. Guy 1 and Guy 2 sound like they both just never bothered telling her what kind of baggage she brought to the relationship, or she’s just glossing over it because it’s her Reddit post. Obviously there was something going on for both of them to decide “this isn’t worth it”.

Ugh, no. I consistently pull attractive women in real life and online is a complete toss up, if you want to talk about it as shallowly as possible. Obviously I’m interested in the women I match with but there’s definitely a discrepancy in looks a lot of the time. It was even like this when I was in college and we were all on a completely even playing field and the only thing that mattered was looks. If you don’t know about the discrepancy in men and women’s online dating experience you’re just u…

Depends if she makes it a miserable experience, in which case you know it’ll be a miserable relationship anyway. If you’re getting shit tested on the first date stand up and walk out. If she’s doing it over messages before you even meet, you saved even more time.

Who? Their coworkers. Seen it happen many times. How many retail stores are in the US/Canada, how many employees are in their 20’s/30’s, and how many of them do you think want to fuck? Go ahead and lump in fast food places, restaurants, and whatever other jobs I can’t think of at the moment.

I went on an ice cream date this week and it was the nicest one I’ve had in a while. Idk why she liked it so much but I think that’s what sealed the kiss when I dropped her off. That said I avoid women that make dating feel like interviewing for a job like the plague so I have my own selection bias.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/24 07:14 PM

I started thinking about this when I was in High School and all the middle class and upper middle class kids in my school are encouraged to go to the absolute best school they can get into, whether it’s across the state or across the country, and we all abandon our High School relationship as if it never existed or meant anything.

Life is short and we all buy into some level of delusion to keep getting up everyday, if you give me the example of dying in Afghanistan for something you believe in or slaving away and raking up money in a cubicle while you await the same ending, I genuinely can’t say for certain if I think one is worse than the other. That said, male disposability is a feature of our species that I would rather opt out of, personally. If someone’s happy getting their top blown off trying to grab a gun during a…

My experience with online dating seems about the same as it was 6 years ago, albeit with more bots and woman who have spent too much time perfecting a dating profile than actually dating. The dating market has always been bleak, but all the catastrophizing by zoomers really makes me wants to point out that at the end of the day, a large portion of this is and will always still be a “you” problem, and at a certain point you do have to take responsibility for it, and just soberly assess the situat…

Yes. One of the last dates I went on was set up by a female friend. This coming weekend I’m going on a day trip to see two female friends who would be considered very attractive. I seem to attract female friends in most circumstances where friends are to be made, I have a similar experience with gay men - I think it has to do with my temperament - quiet and polite, kind of bookish. My close friends are all male however, besides one woman I’ve known for half my life. A decent amount of these fema…

I see tons of women age 18-26 on Tinder that include gaming on their profile, I can’t see much of link between “gaming” and whether they’re progressive/traditional either. It’s goth girls, alt girls, and sorority types - women that just look like normal people. Edit: I might start making a mental note of this just because of this post but I swear I’ve seen just as many country girls as alt girls that have Xbox/Playstation/online gaming tagged in their profile.

I mean in the circumstance OP is talking about, they’re probably correct in their assertion, but using the hotel bar microcosm is the same as using the club as a representation for dating. It just isn’t useful. When you’re that reductionist you may as well just keep talking about your experience dating in High School for the rest of your life. “Senior year, Jim fixed up a Mustang with his dad over the summer and then Jenny wanted to date him, the key to finding a girlfriend is getting a Mustang”…

Lifting today is incredibly easy to do. Planet fitness has come a long way and still sits at $15/month, there’s a wealth of good training information online compared to 10 years ago, even Walmart sells a ton of protein bullshit now. Yeah, I don’t think the ratio would benefit men very much at all, most of the attractive women I know 25-35 are pretty content doing their own thing, even if RP want to paint them as desperate, worrying about hitting the wall and their womb drying up (or whatever). Honestly, all you can do as a man is try to climb the ladder aesthetically and economically with the knowledge that it opens more options up for you, and then hope that luck is on your side as far as finding a suitable partner, which …

I feel like the definition of “cold approaching” women is so nebulous that it hurts itself. You can strike up casual conversation with attractive women, anywhere, anytime, and see where it goes. Hunting your local grocery store and trying to seal the deal on a phone numbers like a door to door salesman is probably a terrible idea. If you’re good enough looking and sociable enough to hold conversations with strangers in public the idea of cold approaching is a moot point . . . . I always think ab…

I think it can be a weird form of social signaling or an attempt at compensating for something. Sometimes it’s just because a dude loves his wife a lot. Edit: It depends what platform as well. I almost expect all my friends to have FB profile pictures with their wife or wife+child if they actually use FB. Other platforms, not so much.

Pick me’s are not unicorns, they’re just women; look at Lauren Southern, Mikhaila Peterson, Pearl, etc. I don’t think there’s a good Venn diagram here. In my experience there’s not really a stereotype of women that leads to being a better longterm partner, just a list of things that make it more likely the person is more suited for LTR’s, and a lot of those things correlate with success in life very generally anyway. Looking for a tradwife, geomaxxing, pick me’s - whatever - is internet theory c…

Your best option is to simply spend time in communities where AWALT/NAWALT isn’t expected to be a conditional statement attached to every thing you say. I don’t know if that exists on Reddit, and Red Pill/MGTOW/Men’s Rights groups constantly stab each other in the back, throw people under the bus, and try to dox each other, so I wouldn’t recommend them generally.
