Nationally? A lot. They’re offered at a lot of universities, even those beyond a liberal arts focus. Even if the program size is small compared to other programs with the depth of universities offering the program and graduates each year there are a lot of GS graduates out there.

A 101 class and 201 class wouldn’t be anywhere near enough for a 2 or 4 year program as you suggest. I’m all about teaching history, and female suffrage and fight to vote is important history. Everyone should know about that. But that’s one class, not a degree and also not what I think is being taught in large for these programs as they currently exist.
