If you can't think of a witty way out of It, just move the conversation onto something else - then worry about getting her number once she's more comfortable. Ideally, if you're charming enough, she will be the one asking for your number after a while, which is much better than you having to ask twice.

Appreciate this big time, I enjoy your posts a lot. I've been so wank at spotting this stuff before. On nights out, I've had friends come up to me and say "that girl is so into you, she's checking you out etc. go and neck her!" I was a bit clueless, so I'd look around and see nothing, and then I'd get told "too late now she's gone." My take away from this is that ALL women do this shit, I'm just putting obstacles in my way by not knowing what it is.

Two things; I know for a fact that my ex and this guy did not reach a sexual relationship. I don't need to tell you why I know this because I really shouldnt have to explain much to you, but take my word for it if you like. She didn't show up asking for sex, she showed up asking for a relationship. (Something she didn't get) So, that would be where you are wrong.

This is a fair point to raise - for reasons that I didn't feel I needed to go into initially, I know this isn't true. She showed me her texts which indicated that she went home without him after getting a bus back fr the city. Unless you're then going to tell me that those texts were fake and it was all a ruse, but that seems unlikely.

Because I didn't know better. I only got the balls to tell her to jog on about a month ago, and I'm able to focus on things that make me a better person - Studying, Rowing and Lifting. I'm happy now

I didn't go home with the girl because I didn't want to - she didn't really look like she did on her tinder profile, let's leave it at that. Either way, I was still a fully fledged BPer at this stage. I take your points on board though, I'm just glad that me and this ex are done, because as you say there was a point where I was definitely owned by this girl.
