To everyone commenting how this is less common than people believe, congrats on your sheltered life then i suppose? I saw it happen to a senior when i was a sophomore in high school. He had to move with relatives across the country even after the girl admitted she lied. And then again to two more men who i served with and were close friends of mine. This shit happens all the time. With little to no repercussions to the people who make false claims.

I feel like gold may be a better option just due to volatility. Gold tends to keep its value. As in buying 53 dollars of gold (usually the going rate for 1 gram) will still have the same buying power regardless of inflation. It is also easier to hide!
