I agree with this. With a guy you have to be the right woman AND it has to be the right time for him. But honestly...nothing is 100% and I do think that a guy will get prepared real quick if he feels you’re the one for him.

Definitely applies! No more glamorizing 50 yr long shitty marriages because the woman didn’t have the financial security to pursue a happy life on her own.

Omg she should call the police. That has to be a crime.

Derrick Jaxn, I found him on IG BEFORE even finding FDS. His advice lines up with the philosophies here very well.

Curious how this man will be POST quarantine. Will he go back to treating you to nice dates all the time or will he just expect things to stay the same? Lounging in your nice apartment and eating all your groceries. 5 months isn’t a long time, maybe he’s just starting to drop the act and show his true colors? A 35 yr old man shouldn’t be relying on you and your home amenities. He should have his own and should have some sense of shame about the whole situation honestly. I think you should follow…

I’ve done it in the past. NO PICS for sure. Not from me anyway lol. It’s mostly funny because they’re really into it and I’m just browsing YouTube lol.

In my pickmeisha days I would settle for men I wasn’t attracted to. Huge mistake, they’re just as shitty as any other man and when they break your heart it hurts twice as bad because you gave them a shot against your better judgment. All men have the risk of being LV, so why settle on looks? And I totally agree with some of the prior comments, when you date someone less attractive, they start to resent you. Or they take joy in hurting you or making you jealous to boost their own ego. Don’t do it…

Yes girl, a man should be a provider. And for me like I’m cool if he’s not quite there yet, but definitely need someone ambitious who is working towards financial/career goals.

My mom is a pickmeisha as well. Fortunately, she’s still a fantastic mom. She just puts up with too much from my step dad. My step dad cheated when she gave birth to my brother (who was born premature and spent 3 months in the NICU). He’s also terrible with money. My mom gave him half her check for yrs and he wasn’t even paying the mortgage. He’s in massive credit card debt. He also can’t do anything for himself. Laundry, cooking, and housecleaning falls solely on her. She made me seem unreasona…

When you have those feelings of wanting to reach out, you’re really just wanting to fill the void that he left. Best thing you can do is replace that void with something positive. Things I’ve done to help me through these feelings: hang out with friends and family more, focus on cleaning/organizing my apartment, read/watch a lot of positive content online, meditate, focus on my career or financial health, read, and exercise (even if it’s just a walk). It takes a while (sadly) but one day you wak…

I too am recently out of a 5 year "situationship" like you describe. You did the right thing honey. If he wanted those things with you (future, family all that), you would have already had them. The guy in my life would always bait me by talking about stuff like that. Having a place together, kids, what the kids would look like. All that bull. For me, I would always make excuse after excuse for my "friend" just wanting to keep him in my life, but in the end I would just get my heart broken again…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
