I don’t think that hiring more of one sex than the other to correct the overall balance in the work force is sexist at all, as long as there is no physical reason that men are better suited at it that women (read, manual labor). The further you are from the 50/50 split the less you are taking advantage of qualified individuals, and that applies to both sexes. There will always be scarcity for the top schools, like there is scarcity for all of the highest quality goods. And part of the reason that these schools are top quality are that they prepare their students well for the world of business. I’m pretty sure it’s been shown that diversity of backgrounds in the body of the school results in better perspectives for all students.
