Every other hour would be a lot to expect from me, even if I was super into the guy. I’ll have a text conversation where we are both responding in minutes, but then someone gets busy with life and the convo ends to be picked up later. Many times not until the next day. You’re overthinking and infatuated. If you want to text, text. She’ll respond when she’s willing and able. If she goes a full day or two without responding, that may mean she’s not interested.

I’d love to keep getting to know you as a friend, but I don’t see this being anything more.

I don’t use social media either (I wouldn’t share my Reddit with people I know irl). It’s never been an issue for me.

Is this real? You can’t really think that will work…

You can’t. You can only control yourself and your actions. I suggest putting some boundaries in place and making it clear you will not be her emotional support or sounding board when it comes to this guy.

You make one specific offer. If she declines, say ok, let me know when you’re available. If she doesn’t get back with you, she’s not interested.

I think it depends. If they don’t know anything about the topic, they can’t really contribute to a meaningful conversation. And they are going to feel foolish admitting they don’t know anything about it. Regardless, it’s probably a good indication they aren’t a good match for you.

Stop taking things personally. People are focused on themselves. They are not directing conversations to tease you or make you feel bad. Don’t participate in these types of conversations since you don’t want to. Walk away, change the topic, or simply say you’d rather not talk about these things.

I think you’ve got to move from online to in person way faster. Even the bottom of your range (3 months) is a long time! I’ll chat for a week or two. After that I’m done. I don’t care how great his text game is - I’m not looking for a pen pal.

I like the got home safe / thank you text that same night. No need to wait an arbitrary time. Whenever you feel like it.

Suggesting a bar right next to your place makes it seem you are expecting sex. If that’s your goal, go for it. But as a woman, this would be a turn off for me.

Yes they were hitting on you! I don’t think you fucked it up in any way - you were just in shock lol. You could have said - thanks, I like your face too - and smiled. Let things go from there. Just be open to it going forward.

See a therapist. Get to the bottom of your feelings and why her behavior bothers you. Then work thru the results - maybe it’s something you can accept, or maybe you realize it’s a deal breaker for you. You can’t force yourself to accept someone or something that doesn’t align with your values.

Seems irrelevant. You’re the one saying you’re embarrassed of her and her behavior. You’re clearly not happy with this relationship. She is who she is, that’s not changing. So your choice is to accept her as is or move on. You get to decide what value her beauty has… and if beauty is the most important thing to you, then what’s the problem? Again, all of this is your choice.

The point is, you are making yourself a martyr with the woman. If you want to be a victim, by all means continue with her. Would you rather be with her (regardless of how miserable or how she makes you feel) than be alone? That’s your choice. But don’t act like you don’t have a choice in this situation.

Sorry but it sounds like she’s not very interested. She’s trying to keep things open as a back up option.

High value men do not choose women based solely on the availability of pussy. High value men are not likely to be interested in a woman who is only offering sex.

Getting to know each other and spend time together (even virtually) seems like a good start to a relationship. FT allows a more natural and focused conversation than texting, and prevents simple miscommunications that happen with text because you can facial expressions, body language, etc. I prefer time in person over phone calls or FT, but it’s better than nothing.

Then be honest with him. You don’t have anything to lose.

If he was a decent guy, he wouldn’t have lied in the first place. He knows what he did was wrong, and he’s choosing to continue anyway. Not sure there is anything you can say to change that. Did he ask you for advice? If so, maybe he’s looking for someone to validate his choices. You can be a source a reason but ultimately can’t stop him from doing what he wants. The question for you is whether you want to continue being friends with someone that treats people like this.

If she’s interested in you, it won’t matter. But if you wait until Thursday, she may already have plans for the weekend.

For me, it’s a very low time commitment and gives you both a chance to get a vibe check.

The only one who knows for sure is that cute girl lol. If there’s lots of eye contact, that could be a good sign. No harm in asking if she wants to grab coffee, right?

If I were you, I wouldn’t say anything about it… because I don’t want to hear the answer. I think you need to honest with yourself about why you want any details - are you really just curious and interested in talking about sex with other partners? Or are you hoping she will say it was bad, you were better, etc? The latter is a big risk and you need to be prepared for an answer you might not like.

If she’s not offering an alternative option after canceling, she’s not that interested.

Yes women love sex. That does NOT mean they are interested or willing to have sex with anyone at anytime. It also does not mean they want casual sex with no emotions or attachment.

I don’t think there is a polite way to say it. If you don’t want to ghost, just be slow in replies and give very short answers with no effort to continue the convo. They’ll get the point.

One thing I’ve done with my therapist is actually follow the worst case scenario. Keep asking what if the worst did happen, what would that look like? Often times it’s not really that bad. Say every woman rejected you. So what? You would be lonely at the end of the night, just like you are now. If you have no confidence to begin with, it’s hard to lose confidence lol. What are you really risking? Likely a few moments of awkward interaction. Also remind yourself that the worst case is just as lik…

Your gut is not going to be right 100% of the time, but what do you have to lose in trying? Especially if it happens multiple times with someone, he may just be shy and afraid to approach. Worst case they turn you down and life goes on. But you could be missing out on someone great by not trying.

I would want to know if it was me. Otherwise when I finally notice it later I’m gonna be wondering if it was there all night lol

Women will be into either uniform. But if you’re goal is to meet women while volunteering, these are terrible options. It would be extremely unprofessional and unethical to approach someone dealing with some type of emergency or trauma for a date… and I can’t imagine you would be successful anyways.

I feel like it means you are willing to pay for the first date.

Please don’t try to be someone you’re not. People who show affection through roasting or teasing generally aren’t as funny as they think they are… and people who do this all the time and think they are so good at it still go too far and hurt feelings or offend (generally way more often than they realize).

This needs more upvotes! F here. Yes, hair can be attractive, and not every guy looks great bald. But shaving it off is 1000% sexier than trying to hide it with a comb over. A bad comb over is an automatic turn off. A bald guy means nothing to me either (meaning it’s not gonna affect whether I’m going to swipe right lol) Also, just personally, balding is a lot like dick size. Men care about it way more than women.

As a woman, I am definitely single often. Dating is mentally exhausting and sometimes I take breaks from it. Not every woman keeps guys around for entertainment when they are bored. Even when I am looking, it’s not easy. Men like to assume it is for women, but the only thing that is quick and easy to find is casual sex - so if that’s what you want, then yeah, life is great. But if you want a relationship, I think it’s tough for everyone.

In my experience, it’s very common to find people who aren’t looking for something serious, especially on dating apps. And asking people what they are looking for is a standard question. Simply saying you’re not looking for anything serious right now seems straightforward and not pushy at all.

It sounds like you are overthinking this. A quick text could be plenty - like “hey, I’m gonna be visiting a friend near you. Any chance you have some free time to hang out” If he’s into it, great. If not, no harm done!
