He didn't rule on the beating, he ruled on the reporting of it. The ruling basically says that the reporter wrote what he thought to be true based on Heards statements. And the whole evidence the judge ruled on was based solely on Heards and her friends statements, not any real evidence. Since it was a civil case, it was enough however.

Bit of an overreaction. I can only speak for what I myself have experienced and what I perceive. Are there good women? Absolutely. Are the "White Knights" well intentioned? Yes, but the road to hell is paved with good intentions. Maybe I just had bad luck with meeting women in my country, I get along fine with women from other countries.

Alright, let's give a different example. In the UK, a man cannot be raped, according to the law. He can be sexually assaulted, but not raped by a woman. Now, the punishments may be somewhat similiar, but they are not qute the same. So I'd argue, that while not always obvious and not everywhere, it is systemic to a degree.
