How would you go about causing drama? Just get her wound up somehow?

Rules #1 and #2. Lift and care about the way in which you present yourself Don't be boring. Do interesting things, preferably social things like teams / clubs Make conversation with everyone you come across as practice

Number 1 resource? Read the Sidebar. Atleast you recognize that you should do more interesting things which also helps you meet other interesting people). Sounds like you're in school still so try doing intermural sports or the gym (If you aren't going, start now). Travel too when the opportunity arises. Put yourself in uncomfortable positions. Go on interesting or active dates/hangout with girls so you don't have to talk the entire time. This is a much better option than a coffee date for insta…

she's seeking some drama. give it to her Would you be willing to give an example or point me in the right direction to where I could read up on ways to give her drama? In the past, I've read posts talking about giving the emotional roller coaster (lost the them now) but this is still an area that I don't quite understand enough and could improve upon.

Don't bother with cardio right away, yes it's good for you but at this point, just cleaning up your diet and lifting should be fine. I recommend you just try to move a little more by trying to take ~10min walks after meals. Right now it doesn't sound like you have much to cut, you need to just recomp. Focus on the lifts. Whenever cutting you want to use cardio sparingly. If you implement it and go balls to the wall right away you may see some results but that will drastically drop off as your bo…

What are your macros (P/F/C) looking like? Rough TDEE for your stats are showing ~2300 - 2600 cal maintenance (depending on your level of activity). That would put you around 1800 minimum. Just a small piece of advise, that seems like a pretty significant caloric deficit to have 1200 to 1500... Normally you want to stay around -500 cals from maintenance, especially if you're lifting consistently thru the week. If anything, up the cardio slowly (if you lose consistently don't add in more). Once y…

Ya that probably wouldn't hurt to have sent a few. I just find that even when I text beyond logistics and am texting towards being sexual /escalating it eventually devolves into small talk or things I'd rather talk about in person. The other scenario, the girl doesn't add to the conversation which is equally unhelpful.

Doesn't sounds like you've done your own research. Not all are in perfect health. There's many potential risks / complications that come up as a result of using. There's a reason why most everyone gets their blood work done regularly. Check out /r/steroids or /r/body_building steroid Saturday threads. Are you thinking of hopping on the bicycle? IMO it's not something you just do once, you never only do just 1 cycle. Ask yourself why you want to use them. Have you been lifting for an extended per…

Go ahead and bike on a couple of the rest days. Just make sure if your goal is to build muscle to up your calories to compensate for the amount your burning with biking so you're still in a caloric surplus.

Personally, I find it's useful for getting the attention of the younger girls (18-22 maybe 23 ish?). Treat it as a crappy form of social proof. I normally try to stay off it as much as possible and probably post to my story once or twice a month if that. I'd say use it sparingly, no crazy long stories and don't snap selfies and you probably won't come across as a try hard.

Hard to set lifting goals on weight if you don't have a bar to do the main lifts. If I were you I'd find a gym that actually has a bench/squat rack atleast, deadlift platform would be a plus. As for targets, you could set body weight goals like doing 12 pull ups (once you hit that easily add weighted belt) or 50 push ups for example.

Definitely too early. If I was in an LTR, I would wait a while and do a ton of vetting beforehand to even consider it.

To maintain muscle on a cut continue to lift heavy to keep your muscle around. Programs like 5×5 or 531 would be fine.

I don't mind the questions at all. Sounds like you're referring to the IIFYM (if it fits your macos) and ya it's possible. Calories in = calories out. As long as you eat less than you actually use then you can lose weight. I would suggest though to make sure if you do this that you still try to hit rough macros so like 260P 150C 100F (random example, with keeping protein high to keep you satiated) Edit: Ya veggies would be as plus.
/r/askTRP17/09/17 11:24 PM

It depends a lot on individuals bodies and goals for sure. Do you know your body fat %? If it's like in the 30's you can stand to cut cals more (drop like 2 lb /week) opposed to if you were like 18-20% (drop 1lb /week with -500 cal).
/r/askTRP17/09/17 10:03 PM
1

Ya that calculator sounds about right. Normally I suggest to people to try to eat at 3900 Cals and check their weight to see the true maintenance. Then you can subtract calories from there. If your maintenance is actually 3900, 2500-3000 would be way to low. You'd start to lose a ton of muscle along with fat cause you're basically starving yourself. Plus you'll definitely see it affect your workouts if your working out heavy (which you should be to maintain muscle during a cut).

I read this jn another thread but you can ask, "Do you NEED me to pay for you?" Normally don't go on dinner dates with plates. Only normally if LTR I'd say.

I'd help her 'study' not actually help her study if you catch my drift. Go over to her place and escalate. I wouldn't help her study unless you want to be in the friend zone or somehow it helps you understand concepts better by explaining it to others. That's my opinion.
/r/askTRP17/09/17 09:04 PM

Find your maintenance calories. Then eat 250 -500 cal less than that depending on how fast you want to cut. Keep protien high, carbs lower, fats constant or a bit more. Check out r/fitness

It's hard to say definitively, depends. Normally I'd say 20% would be a good place that you don't want to exceed but I wouldn't worry too much about hitting certain numbers at this point in your lifting career. Just focus more on getting size in the first year or two of dedicated lifting. Too often people just starting out worry about cutting but they're skinny fat, they don't have any muscle to cut down to. You'd really only be hurting your progress when you could be growing. Like I said, when …
/r/askTRP14/09/17 01:34 PM

For the stats you gave, it sounds like you've got a lot more to grow. At your stage it's pretty possible to recomp (lose fat gain muscle at same time) as you lift. You haven't been lifting for very long so it'd be best just to bulk and eat, continuing to get those "noobie" gains. Plus summer is over so I'd say go for a slow bulk (250-500 Cal surplus).

laundry, buying books, cleaning my dorm, organizing, scheduling, eating, etc. None of these take that much time at all when you break it down. Just stay on top of your shit. Even with 20 h a week studying, that's NOTHING. Try going out and practicing day game. Yup in AFF but I do see now my comment was unintentionally misleading. TL:DR: Couldn't pull main cause I'm dumb, had to pull reserve. Procedure kicked in in my head so cut anyways then pulled reserve. Beginning and end of jump: decent. Middle: real bad. Basically my instructors let go and I was actually falling stable the whole way. I hit 6000 lock on and got ready to pull. Thing is when I reached back I couldn't find the cord. Did my second touch still couldn't find it and I got worried. I'd pu…

I just started AFF this past Friday, skydiving is definitely awesome. Long story short during my Cat C-1 I had to cut away and pull my reserve. The adrenaline rush I experience was intense. Looking forward to eventually getting my A licence.

It's good for beginners and good for teaching/getting used to the main lifts. Once you stop progressing though with 5x5, another good program to run that's barbell focused is 531.
/r/askMRP22/07/17 04:38 PM

This is definitely true. Noticed this first hand at one I used to attend. When this is brought up though, the response I generally get is that we just need to 'man up' and shift all the blame to the men.

Maybe you can elaborate more but why isn't it a good idea if you're more muscular to touch compared to smaller guys? Wouldn't touch just help in addition to your physique?

There are issues with all methods of measuring body fat, even dexa. They're not normally 100% accurate. Lots of youtube vids about it / studies that show that there's a lot of variation.

Some aren't necessary. Creatine would have been a good one to add to the list though. People always hate on it but it's basically the most studied and proven suppliment out there.

I agree with you. Those are definitely benificial to do or used as an accessory movement to a main lift. When I wrote my previous comment I was thinking things more like air squats and the things you see in those cardio boot camps.
/r/askTRP02/03/17 02:52 PM

Yes. I train it as an accessory exercise with a weighted belt.
/r/askTRP02/03/17 02:52 AM

Body weight can't give you that much strength. All you get good at is repetition (anything over ~15 reps doesn't really provide much benefit at all). Using weights also allows you to gain muscle mass. For the most part just doing body weight exercise will just help burn fat and sometimes visibly 'tone' a tiny amount (only because you lose some weight as a result of high repetitions).

it will lead to more body fat if for some reason you do not exercise enough Muscle doesn't just turn into fat, it can't. Just track your macros and you won't consume enough to gain fat when you can't lift.
