O. The drive to be perceived as more attractive is definitively genetic. Almost all cultures have some form of makeup. But it changes a lot between cultures. In the same way you have geishas you have ancient egypt priest characteristic makeup. There is however, a tendency for women to end up using the most cosmetics . Which antropologists believe it's a combination of signaling class in a patriarchal world and competition with prostitutes (in the sense that prostitutes made a standard of beauty)
/r/MensRights23/05/19 12:06 AM

There are many culture induced behaviors that are almost universal yet they have no biological basis. Like makeup. Some cultures only the females, some cultures only the males, some both. And there are exception to many rules. For example my culture, the galician one, a small european one, even though you can define it as a male dominated culture, like all cultures, has always held women as superior to men in many aspects. For example, our earliest literature (which is also the earliest romance …

I don't think that it's part of their biology but even then there are so many unpleasant things that are part of our biology yet we deal with them.

What pisses me off is that when men show "weakness" they are mocked as much by women as by men. And look, im bi so im not an expert, but you can go look at at the white feather girls to see what being mocked by women does to a young men. And then they go and say that toxic masculinity it's an exclusively male problem.

In my country, in our short lived democracy before fascist took over, there was a huge conflict regarding female suffrage. About half the left, didn't want female suffrage. They thought it would only make women, controled by the church and their husbands, go vote against their interest. On the other hand, around half of the right (which at this time were Catholic Fundamentalists), which didn't agree with female sufrage or even democracy supported female suffrage for the same reason. https://en.w…

But i don't know why it is so crucial for people with the wrong opinions (like that director with the tasteless twitter jokes) to be removed from the public view... They are idiots, not saboteurs. But i still don't get it. You don't do an add with negative language. You show good male behaviour in response to the metoo movement or whatever. Same reason you won't find any hymn played on a minor key. (although the USA one sounds kinda cool : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dPvK5p94rTA )
/r/MensRights24/04/19 11:10 PM

Yes. I actually think the idea of the add was good ,but it failed miserable at getting the point across. Like, they were so ambiguous about what they were exactly criticizing that it just came as if they were criticizing men in general. Like, i can't believe that a marketing team made that particular mistake. Usually you make a single point and extrapolate from there.

I got it backwards. This guy theorized compilers : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corrado_B%C3%B6hm And she implemented the first thing that sort of resembled an actual compiler. I thought it was the other way around. Anyway i don't think that she needs to have that merit for Grace Hopper, a pioneer computer scientist and naval commander (later promoted to rear admiral after retirement) to be an inspirational figure to both genders.

It's just the common assumption that any male dominated space it's so because of lack of female representation. When it is often the other way around. At least the science community will never become "REEEE WYMEN AND MINORITIES PRAISE GERARDO DEL RIVERO" god i hope.

I do not understand the necessity to constantly highlight any female contribution as if it were something groundbreaking. Its as if people who have no idea or interest on science have this idea that it's rare for a woman to be involved in any important stem project. Hell , I think I can name at least one female invention/discovery in every branch of science. The origin of mitochondria, the concept of compilators, nuclear radiation... Hell , Mary Beard it's probably the most influential historian…

Identitarian means alt-right man. And you can't take a few retards on twitter and equal them to millions of people. Protecting hate speech is bad hill to die on. According to the definition of hate speech that all the 90% relatively sane part of society agrees with. Don't call for violence and it will all be fine.

Lacking empathy and not caring about how other people feel are totally different things. Reading reports i had stored from when i was a kid my psychiatrist was able to determine i basically lacked empathy when i was a kid. Im slightly autistic, like most people with ADHD. But by the time i was 15-16 i learned to interpret human emotions, better than average. But i ve always been defined as a very nice person.

Traditionalism even worse. the male side is like "im going to get a wife assigned to me by life and im going to work and she will pump out kids" And the female is like "Im going to pick a guy and he will have to support me whitout having to work his whole life" . And then there is reality. Fortunately, outside of certain circles this ideology is basically non-existant.

No im not being a rape apologist. Im just saying that we mythified male on female rape that we cant even process the less harmful forms (but still) ways of rape. Particularly when is not MoF . And on the other hand it makes rape victims double victims because they are told they should be absolutely broken.
/r/MensRights16/11/18 12:26 AM

But you see, we have glorified/fetishized whatever the correct word is male on female rape as the absolute worse and most traumatic thing that can happen to a woman. And i mean it is very terrible, horribly traumatic, but if everyone and everything tells you how horrible it is it just creates additional trauma for the victim, or even worse, guilt, when they feel they can move on easily (if they can) . I just dont want to sound like a rape apologist.

I don't believe there it's an underlying biological reason, it's just that the "Women want their unspoken desires forcefully fulfilled" has been pushed by Hollywood and marketing too much

For the last fucking time. Socialism is in the name of nationational socialism because in their theory socialism, as altruism, was in the culture and genes of the aryan people. It has no connection with Marxism at all. Hitler thought of it as a ironic spin, the ultimate defeat of communism, apropiating their words. And then there is a very big difference between that and taking a bit more space because men bone structure is a bit different and our confortable angle is a bit more open . I personally suffer from neuromotor discoordination (not sure how it is exactly called in english), point is, my body doesnt always do exactly what my brain tells it to do (to simplify stuff), relatively common on autistic persons (not my case) . I have already had to explain like 5-7 times this. While there were plenty of f…

Class warfare is part of Marxism retoric. Leftism started with the french revolution. There were no economic classes there. Defining politics as left and right is something very stupid to do these days, but good look convincing people. At least is a good indicator of who knows a bit of what he is talking about.

Nothing new. Even if men are more aggressive, which is debatable, women are much more violent. If two women slap each other it's unlikely they ever injury each other too much, if a woman hits a man it's unlikely for the man to retaliate, social stigma and instinct push to not to do it. The average man should be able to knockout the average women with a single punch. if a man hits another man , one or both are going to end pretty hurt or even injured, with death being a big possibility.

Wow, you know so much latin, you must be latino or something. Wikipedia has a problem with citogenesis, but it mostly affects biographies. Anyway my point was that the name is bad, not because what it means, but because what it is asociated too. Pagan only means people of the villages.

I dont think thats exactly the same though. If im not mistaken lots of women do that surgery just because their labia (when is very big) disconforts them. As far as i know, there isnt any difference between long labia and short labia for women when it comes to sex. Then again i am not a woman, but i wouldnt do that to myself.

That if people parrot that chopping off your genitals its the best thing but you have to be an adult to consent, you are still living in a very fucked up culture.

To be honest saying that the humans thinking they can do better than nature is a quasi-religious argument. There are a lot of things we changed from nature for the best (the way we give birth, birth control, even our nature as a nomadic, gregarious species, developed to be able to walk tens of kilometers every day and to trek into almost every place.)

There is a difference, you can become a rich or a poor person. You cannot change your gender.
/r/MensRights11/12/16 06:29 PM

Yea, i agree with you, the problem with feminism is that it is unable to move from the point of view of "womens are always victims" . Hell, the famous myth of the wage gap can be interpreted both ways, you can go with the classic "people dont hire women in high wages positions" or you can swap it to "Men are opressed by society that dont let them pick the way of life they want, instead forcing them to study for the most demanded jobs"
/r/MensRights11/12/16 05:47 PM

The difference is that women in the west are far from being victims anymore, while you cant claim that the proletariam werent victims of the economy.
/r/MensRights11/12/16 04:31 PM

Not at all . Marxism is about proletarians getting into the power to create a class-free society by distributing the resources. What kind of resources will feminism distribute?

Your argument is that commies bad so feminism bad ?
