The comments section there is pretty depressing. "I wonder what caused her to rape you". MOTHER FUCKER IT DOESN'T MATTER

Yes. Female coworker, drunk at a company party, grabbed my ass in front of everyone. I was laughed at. No discipline given.

Sigh. I highly doubt the validity of this study, just as much as I doubt the validity of studies that propose the same statistic for women.

Interestingly, he was that era's equivalent of an SJW. Harrison Bergeron was written as a satire, mocking the idea that socialism would lead to the events in the short story.

Quoting myself from earlier in the thread, so maybe you'll understand why this is a men's rights issue: "OK, so people are outraged what she's paying, right? YOU are outraged at what she's paying. It's outrageous. The problem is, men have dealt with this problem for decades. Nobody pays attention, nobody is outraged until it happens to a woman." This is about society being callous to our problems until they become a woman's problem, and then all of a sudden they are worth fixing.
/r/MensRights26/11/14 05:40 PM

Depends, is it a man paying? If so, the general attitude is that that's fine.

It isn't about Halle. Her individual situation is unjust. It's about the compassion she is shown here, while millions of men are put into debtor's prisons for inability to make ridiculous court-ordered payments, and told to suck it up.

On my first point... Well, you ignored it completely. I guess you didn't like that one, so it must be wrong. Typical. Quoting from now on for ease of picking apart your shit: Has she been an avid feminist? Has she spoken out about mens responsibility to provide child support more than women? Irrelevant. This is about a compassionate attitude toward a woman being ordered to make ridiculous payments, and the corresponding callous attitude toward tens of millions of men throughout history ordered t…

Nobody pays attention, nobody is outraged until it happens to a woman. Robin Williams killed himself over this same issue, where's your outrage there? I'm beginning to think you don't belong here.

The reason I post this is because she has support from many people. Men are constantly thrown into this situation, and then made out to be evil deadbeats when they complain. There is a societal double standard.

I moved out of that place a looooong time ago. The cop came to the door, the cop that I CALLED, and I was the one who was questioned. My black eye, lack of marks on my knuckles, and her lack of injury anywhere other than her knuckles wasn't enough for her to be arrested, but it did keep me out of custody. Guess why she attacked me? I told her to stop insulting me for being a man, and that it was sexist. EDIT because venting feels good: When she "apologized" three weeks later, she said "I wouldn'…

Slapping her is actually going to be the only thing that works. She got to experience the pain, shock, and humiliation of the slap, and nobody is going to comfort her, since it was another woman who slapped her. A little bit of forced empathy is good for everyone who acts like that.

Please explain more thoroughly what you mean, and why forcible sexual penetration of a man is not rape. Are you saying that rape is something that only happens to women? You won't get banned for that here, but it's a great way to be ignored.

The idea that the woman may be equally to blame, even if she is also violent and even the initiator of the violence, is simply not acceptable. It is an excuse often heard from the unmanly and it should never be given a respectful hearing. Men have the physical advantage. Cool story sis, tell me again what it means to be a man.

"As a male you're supposed to enjoy it but we don't say that about young girls. Males are not seen as victims. The psychological damage is huge - and they carry extra shame because it's a woman and you're supposed to enjoy it." So someone actually gets what I went through. Someone doesn't think I'm a liar, or a faggot, or a pussy, or anything else I've been called. If only people in my country cared as much.

Well, I have IBS. I frequently go to the doctor, which means I often come to work a bit late. Sometimes I am in a great deal of pain for extended periods of time, and my capability is reduced. I still get paid the same, though, because I work as hard as I can, I exceed my sales quotas every month, and I can't help the fact that my digestive system is broken. It would be unfair to pay me less just because I am sick, and cannot always be physically present as much as some others, because I fulfill…

Maybe a year or so before this I was barraged on facebook by these same friends about not being a feminist. Their arguments ranged from "why do you want women to have less rights than men" to "if you're not a feminist you're actively working against equality and hate women". They recently ttried this on another guy inn our group of friends who agrees more with my point of view on feminism but would never say because he'll be alienated from our group hangouts like I am. I packed up my belongings, took two days off work, and moved out without paying the rent. I threatened to sue if they attempted to come after me for it, which somehow worked. They're pretty stupid. They (I was living with a lesbian couple) lost the apartment, and moved back in with their respective parents. Both still suck at life, both are in financial trouble, and neither has any accountability. Just... shitty people.

Quote on. Another example, I broke up with my ex, and she spent weeks showing up at my apartment, banging on the door, and causing a disturbance. Police didn't care. "You're afraid of your girlfriend? Just deal with it." When that didn't work, and i persisted in ending the relationship, she started stripping when I went to pick up my things. I wasn't interested, and told her so, at which point she said I could have sex with her, or she'd call the cops and tell them I raped her. I went along with…

Feminist roommate would get drunk and grope me constantly, even after a thousand times I told her to stop. Then she'd talk about rape, and patriarchy, and unwelcome advances, and how I'm evil for having a penis. Once, when I told her I was done listening to her harp on about rape culture and patriarchy, she violently attacked me, called the police, and attempted to have me arrested - she screamed to the dispatcher that I was violent, and hurting her. She destroyed my bedroom door while they were…

What I stated was relevant because the subject of the article is a gender feminist. Gender feminism is an ideology rooted in Marxism. The basis of Marxism is that there exists an eternal oppressor class, and an eternally oppressed class. The basis of gender feminism is that women are eternally oppressed by men. The subject of the article concluded that women being violent against men is excusable, desirable, justified, and came to that conclusion via Marxist thought - that is, seeing herself as …

I am not a masculist, I am an egalitarian.
/r/MensRights20/03/13 08:38 AM

You illustrate my point. Feminism is more a rhetorical device than a cohesive movement. Each feminist defines their feminism differently, with different sects - radical, sex-positive, etc. Many lauded feminists don't believe in equality, but female supremacy, and male-eliminating eugenics. Read some Valerie Solanas, specifically the SCUM Manifesto. She was a bigot (and, ironically, a prostitute) who is widely regarded as a heroine of feminism, one to be respected and looked up to. How can you re…
/r/MensRights19/03/13 11:40 PM

Your personal definition of feminism has no bearing on what feminism as a movement is. You want those issues you brought up, like emancipation of slaves, to be called feminism, but they are not. They are egalitarianism and social progress. If the anti slavery movement is feminism, are then those who would perpetuate slavery masculists? Your misandry is very thinly-veiled.
/r/MensRights19/03/13 08:19 PM
19

Then quit associating yourself with the label feminism. If you are truly interested in equality, you are not a feminist, but an egalitarian. The label feminism is associated with too much toxic ideology. Have you ever read any Valerie Solanas, Andrea Dworkin, or Gloria Steinem? There is some really scary shit you associate yourself with being a feminist.
/r/MensRights19/03/13 08:13 PM

Your reading comprehension is a little off here. OP DID say that as for rape, it can't happen to men because they are pigs who always want it; he did this as a way of repeating her own argument back to her. He did that to clarify her point to the audience. He then used that as leverage when he mentioned his gay friend, and asked her if that friend wanted the rape he experienced, because that was what she implied.
