You realize he was replying to your "tv is kill" thing, right?

Even without applying gender identifiers to parts of a city (wtf?), it's still totally moronic to neglect icy roads in favor of bus stops.

It depends on the way you have comments displayed. When I looked at the thread, the top displayed comment was something to the effect of, "That makes him a rapist", and all the replies were people agreeing. The drugs do add another level to this, but it's worth noting that in OP's story, the boyfriend was passed out drunk, which can be equated to sleeping pills for all intents and purposes.

I found this. It's along the same lines.

While I agree that the gravity of actual rape is greatly diminished by the word being thrown around so hastily, /r/sex would have gone apeshit on a guy for doing the same thing. I'd even go as far as to say that most people would point fingers at him. Would I be angry if my ltr girlfriend did this to me? I'd be more worried of the implications of the sex (birth control?) than the act itself, but that doesn't eliminate the double standard here.

Every demographic has individuals who make the group look bad

Here's the caveat: When it comes to sexual gestures, be mindful to continually check in with your partner to make sure it’s okay. At the first hint of the word “no” or “stop,” it’s time to do just that. which is very much NO WHERE in RP theory. In fact, that much is shunned, which I think is actually folly. Are you insinuating that TRP condones sexual assualt/rape? That's very untrue. TRP advocates sexual aggression, but not sexual assault.

I can't wait for srs or feminism to rationalize this one. "Well maybe there should be websites for male rapists! Oh wait..."

Is this why everyone hates TRP so much? Everything on that table is either a misconception or an argument that I've never seen put forward on TRP...

Fucking finally. I just started reading TRP a few months ago, and since then I've grown cynical and sick to my stomach over all the guys on /r/sex and /r/relationships getting screwed over by hypergamy. Major props to the ex-bf for having the balls to walk away from 5 years when he sees the shit about to hit the fan.

Great post. The anger-phase is an important one. No one can expect guys to just move on after giving their heart to a girl only to get cheated on/generally treated like shit - over and over again. I think most guys join TRP when they're at their lowest (in terms of relationships), so naturally they're going to have some shit bottled up. I know I did, and I'm still in the process of getting it all out months later. In my experience, the world simultaneously becomes both more and less shitty. More…

I'm fairly new to this stuff, but I'm already seeing positive results in my life. Here are some points that helped me swallow the pill more easily. You should start by accepting the idea that men and women are fundamentally different in the way that our minds operate. Take away culture, and humans are just animals. Animals have instincts set in place based on what is evolutionarily successful. Western culture has trained men to grow up seeking validation from women which, biologically, is backwa…

No backup plans. Be a man, and don't be apologetic for it. "Our intent is strong in our heads, vague in our words, and assertive through our actions"

Christ, that would be great, but I have no faith in system taking the logical route (much less the ethical one). She'll probably get the alimony anyways.

As a beta, the news that his girl fucked some other guy is going to crush him regardless of whether or not op is gloating or friendly. Maybe I'm too soft, but I'd say either tell him, or fuck her, not both.

Then you wouldn't be a beta, just a victim of hypergamy

It makes you look at relationships entirely differently. You mind find yourself judging your parents, your friends, etc based on TRP ideas.

For me, the hardest part of TRP to come to terms with was the fact that I won't ever be able to open up emotionally to someone whom I'm in a relationship with. It's making me a cynical person.
