The power and appeal of statistics comes from the narratives people make from them without necessarily looking at the full context. In this case, the 97% appeals to the distress caused by all the claims of sexual assault and supports their viewpoint of sexual assault being a highly rampant issue. 1	Abortion can be our business too You’re right! Consenting to sex doesn’t mean consenting to contraception, at least not anymore. I do agree with the mindset of having the consequences from negligence (in this case, failing to use proper protection during sex) doing the punishment rather than the law, but this is an exception I don’t think a child should suffer from being born to parents that can’t/won’t take care of him/her. 1	Abortion can be our business too I do agree that the woman in a couple that’s dealing with an unexpected/wanted pregnancy should have the final say, since she is having the procedure. But I do think the man should say to his SO why he wants or doesn’t want the child and how they should compromise if they disagree on whether to keep the child or not.
