Thanks for the response. Sounds like you have it dialed in down south. What was your experience like?

All good points, thanks for responding. She has a mix of friends, single, married, divorced. Don’t think there’s anyone I know of that’s too toxic in her ear, though you never know. She’s looking at all her choices now & probably realizing people have families & have to focus more on their spouse & kids. Feels like we just look at each other sometimes like “is this it?” She would never admit that though. I can see right through it.

I’m in the exact same boat now. It’s tough to look at all the time invested, memories shared together, and think it’s still not working. It’s a tough decision either way. Listen to your gut. Good luck.

Thanks for sharing. It’s tough when I know she’s a good person but we just don’t click well together. It’s been hot & cold for 10+ years

Thanks for this. We’re in the same boat. We’ve travelled everywhere & done tons of cool stuff but we are both extremely stubborn & neither wants to give an inch. When I gave in previously, she used it against me in future arguments. I also don’t trust her decision making, as it’s been a disaster when I’ve allowed it. I’m checked out at this point & I’m not sure what more counseling will do to help us.

We’ve travelled all over the country & world. We’ve had plenty of adventures. We live in a nice area, not out in the sticks. I agree about leading from the front as the man. Constant negativity & complaining ruin any thoughts of my wanting to continue to lead. She’s scared of any real change at this point.

I agree, though I can’t change her constant negativity. It’s always something. At some point enough is enough.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
