1	Amicable split talk feels like a trap With 1 year of time from separation to reflect (only a few weeks actually divorced); I am in a much more emotionally and mentally healthier situation. 2	Amicable split talk feels like a trap Yo! I just went this route - we came to an agreement, ourselves, and then I engaged with an attorney to help us file/facilitate with the courts. The difference; she moved out and we had been separated for nearly an entire year before divorce was finalized. We had been running our agreed upon child sharing schedule (50/50) during that time, as well.
