Sure thing, back then people got out of a rough time, there was the war which had a lot involved, lot of casualties ect and the great depression. These men were built to survive. The manosphere pushes young men to be the best they can become. A lot fail, that is objectively true. What else is true is that women are hypergamous and move up dominance hierarchy's, men are taught this at a young age. So it would make sense to become your best self, life isn't fair.
