It is not only true that women are 50% more likely to earn a university degree, but they are also more likely to have their applications to university accepted, and get funding. Men have demonstrated a desire to go to university, but it is well established that men have barriers that women don't have. Wages are a matter of supply and demand. If women are willing to do only the indoor work with no sweating, and men are willing to do the UPS work OR the air-con work, there is twice as much demand for the ass-wiping jobs and the wage goes down. I do wonder if a lower male graduation rate was at least partially due to the fact that men formerly didn't need college degrees as much to find decent jobs. No, it is due to systematic discrimination against men, from affirmative action to hundreds of millions of dollars in scholarship money devoted to women only.
