Either A: Me doth thinks he protests too much, or B: Dude doesn't just look like a lady, he is one! This article is written by someone looking for attention. And it looks like this "Nancy Grace" just got it.

Yeah, listen to the troll. You should never get out of your car and assert your rights against a woman. Even when you are clearly in the right and they are being selfish and entitled. Why should they be inconvenienced so that you could use something put there for public use. You are the man after all and should have to suffer for them, just because. Screw that. You should be able to use something that is available. They were wrong. Using logic is not a natural function for their sex and we shoul…

Was your mom a nurturer? Did she take care of you? Was it meant (in your house) as a way of respecting her memory? Just asking....If you notice the photo, it's reminiscent of the 50's/60's. They had similar ones that said father knows best. There was a series in the U.S. back then. Things were very racist/sexist,etc. during the time. We've made great strides, but that "pendulum" of change doesn't know when to stop and keeps swinging past center. That's where I (personally) have issues.

So I guess if I have to spit, when I stop at a corner, I shouldn't open the door until I first check to see if kids are around? Holy crap. I just spit out the window into the street like a slob.

I don't think you can "teach" not to rape. Since I've never been a victim of it, or perpetuated it, I can only speak from what medical information I've read, which all says its an act of violence. Rage or people with mental issues (which I'd have to believe that for someone to do something as hurtful and violent to another human being has to have some mental defect) couldn't possibly be controled through education. We all tell our kids not to play with knives or matches, but people kill and comm…

They (the ones that thought up this cute little trick which is obviously intended to not hurt anyone, but instead only help those in need, which would make this a victimless crime) are oh so clever. How could any man be upset with such a little harmless joke? Oh my, what would you think would happen if some men did this to women? It's clearly harmless. And victimless. Unfreaken real! They should have a class action suit filed against them. If for nothing else, being assholes. There's gotta be a …

So kick her a few times and ask, was that hard? I think you deserve a refund my friend. How did you pick her? Drop the yellow pages on the floor an whoever it opened to is it? You either need to get a new counselor, or start fighting back, or get out. Or all of the above.

If I wanted to I couldn't, because your penis envy is so strong you won't let go of it. Eyeroll. Your self-important, self-righteous, narcacistic, green cloud permeates everything you say. If you got your head out of you ass for one minute you might see that men weren't put here to hurt you. I know this is going to be nasty to say this, but you win the prize for making me take the most meds of the week, but I gotta say it, if I saw you needing a fuck, I wouldn't fuck you with your own dick. I've soo been there. I once "read" my sinus x-ray and got yelled at by the PA. He said he'd been to school for xyz years to read these things blah blah blah, what makes you think you know what you're looking at....I then calmly pointed out areas of the scar tissue build up from last time to this time, where there was areas of impact, and regular cloudiness. I told him that over the years I'd probably had about one x-ray done every 6 months and I'd asked questions. I know my head after 30+ x-rays…

This was just the first meeting. I wanted to get involved since it has a direct impact on my kids development. I'd like more input and to know what's going on. This group has an affect on some big decisions which are made in the school. I'd rather not leave that up to 8 women, and 3 men without my involvement.

Misread - I take it that you mean they should try this change next year. With a new class coming in. I agree with that. They're going to try it with kids coming back from holiday break instead. One more thing to throw into the mix for returning kids.

Go cautiously where the VA is concerned brother. Some are good and some are poster child for "institutions". Remember this: therapists are like dating "girlfriends". If one doesn't click with you, don't waste too much time and effort. Move on and find another one. This is too important to be spinning wheels over. If you need anything, pm/reply me. I've had over 20 years experience in dealing with VA issues. "Till they all come home."

Delusion? Dr. Freud I presume? I'll go out on a limb here and say you've never been in this type of situation before. If you're going to use video games as a reference point, then I'll figure you're a twenty something without kids who've been in the school system for a while and doesn't understand the social dynamics.

The problem is that no one wants to hear it. As a former military officer, I still live by the creed. I instill it in my family. My word is my bond. If you don't have integrity, you don't have anything. I have to be able to trust you. And there's not much of it out there in the world today.

Again you must not know how to read. These PEOPLE are all related. The VA and the military are as much a connection to all of this as is being a cop or a fireman you stupid ignorant moron. I'd say bitch, but you'd think that wouldn't be connected. This is exactly what you twisted feminists do. The jobs we do fuck us up and you say they have no connection. Walk the walk asshole. Yep. Eight women - six of whom were parents (3 more missing due to a conflicting event), two of whom teachers. Three men teachers and me. Two were Princ. And VP, other was science. They all sat to my left, all the women sat to my right and toward the far end. I was early so I sat near middle left of table facing door. Pretty strategic now that I think about it.

To make sure they had a back up plan, or to be able to tweak things as they go. Just because they hired some expensive consultant and have a course of action doesn't mean that if things start going off course, they have to keep going that way. Some of their comments sounded like they committed to something and that was it. Even the best battle plans have a fall back option.

Maybe I should have said that for me, I was being nice. I'm a wise ass more often than not and people tell me that I'm intimidating. So being nice is toning down the wise ass. I even agreed with the Alpha female.

New time schedule for the kids. Like high school block scheduling. They have something similar now, but they're making a major mod. Right after the holiday break?

That's a great situation, but not really this one from my point. The women fit that type. One of whom I know is as you described. Long story about how I know all about her, but she comes from $$$$, and is now divorced. Acts like she owns the place. Knows everyone. Ex-daughter-in-law of the local car mogal. 30 something with the perfect teeth who kisses everyone "dahling" on the cheek.

Thanks. I sort of got a feeling the all female group were fixated on the Principle and VP. In shape younger attractive guys. I know that sounds wrong, but you got that kind of vibe. All focus very pointed at them, hanging on their every word. If I took them off their word, got daggers.

Lookit ya douche- it's supposed to be 50/50 when nothing is going on. The % moves as needed. You PROMISE to take care of each other in sickness and health. So fuck yes - I do demand that she take care of me. I certainly take care of her every fuckin day! When she's sick, I take care of her, when she needed surgery, I took care of her. First thing you should do before entering a conversation is to listen. Listen to all of it. Engage your brain second. Do that and then check your facts before opening your mouth - or typing if you want to be technical. #1 suicides= returning military. I believe it's somewhere around 1 every 30 seconds on average. They don't know for sure because they're not all reported. Go figure. We also hold the distinction of highest unemployed rate. What's the men to women ratio? They don't know that either…

Agreed. What do you call a woman who completes suicide? Oppressed by a man a couldn't ask for help? Gimme a break. My friend asked for help. He was dealing with (what we later learned) an allergic reaction to glue holding the carpet to the walls. Any time he came into the building he would swell up and rash right before your eyes. He kept complaining and senior staff wasn't listening. We all stood up for him by signing a petition for him. Imagine 40 + lieutenants signing a petition against Major…

This is funny. Men are closed, but women are open and honest - that's what you're trying to say? "Not uncommon for a man to withhold..."? This statement coming from facts somewhere or rhetoric? I don't know many people who spill their guts out to a stranger as a matter of fact. If I don't trust you, I'm not telling you shit. If my wide doesn't trust you, you get the same reaction. Strangers? You better be cautious with. What a nieve statement. A good doctor would ask probing questions to get the…

I make a point of reaching out to every veteran, no matter what their situation or status (disabled, etc. or not), and let them know I'm willing and able to help however they need it. They never do. They never seem ready at the time we cross paths. They never come back. I remain nearby. I feel like the loser asshole.

When you're on the number of meds that I am, keep the hours I do, have kids, you count yourself lucky if you find 5 minutes to yourself let alone get your mind to cooperate.

I'm not buying it bruh. I'm a major football dude, like to drink beer, but am not a drunk, don't smoke (which breaks that stereotype apart), and don't hang out in sports bars. So I guess I'm not following where you're heading with this. All the guys that "surround" me don't fit this mold either.

The principle and VP actually actually run the group. A question came up regarding a new "program" being implemented right after holiday break which will turn the kids lives upside down. Now admittedly, I don't know much about it, but I do know to ask questions. When you're told that "we'll need your help to get the word out", you ask, is being DONE, or will you want feedback? Or....imagine the looks I got. It's like get on board or the train is running you over.

I can't change the way I think. That's the problem. I've been so "brainwashed" (for lack of a better term), that it comes back at night while I sleep. How many times have you reached out in a night terror to fight back, only to punch the one next to you in bed? I've lost count. My buddy is now divorced because he woke up on top of his wife (on the floor) while chocking her, during an episode. She told him that it was, "the last time".

I try the mantra of "it's part of me, it is not me." But, it doesn't really help. "I have a drinking problem." (Glass of water splashing on side of head.)

I don't think there's much growing going on in my case. I still end up coming off as an opinionated asshole as it turns out. I don't know how to "correct" that. I'm doing my best to deal with things. Some people call it a "NY attitude", but I'm not so sure.

I'm going outside my comfort zone here, but if it weren't for the outside therapist and psych I've been seeing for about 2 yrs now, I wouldn't be able to have this type of conversation. In fact, I wouldn't even be acknowledging it. I was just this side of a major malfunction.

I think he had the LCSW and some other initials. And I might agree with you if it weren't for the fact that he did it more than once. He mixed in some of me in with none of me. He was just a real shitty piece of work. And he was a Vet. And could fill a book with the bad experiences I've had at a MAJOR VA facility over the course of the last 20 plus yrs.

Don't try to talk to them either. 'Cause once you start, you'll see their eyes start to glaze over and then they'll start to look away all fidgety like they've got somewhere else to be - bored - or - how do I handle this. Am I right?

Egotism? Really? So if I constantly call you a chicken shit asshole who won't back me up in a fire, it's all about ego? What if that's your job? If your not going to do it and I can't bully you into doing it - that is what its really all about - then you need to find another job. Look up the definition of bullying. If I keep telling you to get over it and be the "man" you are supposed to be, how would that make you feel? It's "my job" to win the war, deal with shit, come home like nothing happen…

Exactly. But at least you have A someone. For the overwhelming majority of us, we have NO one. I feel your pain as my own because it is. I deal with my pain alone. I can't think of cashing out because of my kids. It would be too selfish of me to do that (my beliefs and I don't judge anyone for having their own whatever they may be). The first mental "health professional" I saw after getting out was a VA therapist. I don't remember all of the letters after his name, but it wasn't a doc. He was a waste of a human being. And he was a veteran. I say this because, I was told that I should get copies of my VA records every year and review them for accuracy. When I saw what he wrote, I blew my top. He was mixing me up with several - again - several different patients! In one case he wrote that I showed up all disheveled in dirty s…

I was told pretty much the same thing. Get over it. You gotta move on. Maybe it was my personality, but all I could think of was the scene from Airplane. "I'll never get over Macho Grande". And then splash a glass of water on my face. In my mind. It was my little inside joke that I started using for everyone. You'll never get OVER it. You'll just have to learn to deal with it. Somehow.

When you've been dealing with a deep dark depression for so long you don't know what the sun looks like anymore its easier said than done. It becomes one foot in front of the other. But like I said in my original response, there are a lot of guys out there that are just as useless as "friends". My mom once said, that if you find one true friend in life, consider yourself blessed.

That's nice to hear you say. I've lost a couple of people to suicide. I think I stopped one. He says I helped. He kept saying shit like all he needed was to find the right tree. No one clued in but me. If these guys had that complex, they'd want to help. They just turned out to be people I just didn't know. After 20 years of hanging out together....was all just hollow.

I'm not so sure that's the case with these guys. We're talking corrections officers, patrol officers, firefighters.... We've all been through shit together. A "let's go for a beer" or what's new would have been a start. "Haven't seen you lately, how's it goin?" never was uttered. What the fuck? Really? No, I'm thinking they don't get a pass when it took the better part of a year and 3/4 to work through my shit with Meds and therapy. That I'm still on. I still don't get a "how ya doin?".

Yea, but the thing is, you don't need to even say anything. Just hang out and have a beer. That's all you need sometimes. I don't WANT to talk about what happened. It happened. It's over and done. It's part of me, but doesn't define me. I've finally come to that realization. Took me 25 fucked up years to get there, but I'm there now. I still feel the need to keep some things buried inside me. Never to speak of. Maybe. For now anyway. I'll respond to everyone who replied directly to me (if they h…

Deja- sorry your bro cashed in and couldn't see another way to deal. I'm a firefighter who's got PTSD. When I got out I kept everything bottled up inside me.
