I think the biggest lesson is police need to do more to alleviate fears no matter how stupid that sounds. The problem I see is so many people in positions that should say something refuse to. I fell through so many cracks because from teachers to nurses and social services no women want to report mothers. I say women because there were no make teachers or nurses...or social services workers when I was young at least not were I was. When fuel is scarce there shouldn't be any chases that long, I was hoping for a lot more then a post apocalyptic fast and furious. Well ill tell you what happened to my friend with his live in girlfriend, when she drinks she gets abusive. One day after a few hidden drinks my buddy told her to take it easy with the drinking and she punched him in the face a few time. She calles the police he went to jail and she got an order of protection from the court. She kicked him out of the house he owns month after month he had to get his mom to talk her in to leaving. There are no protections for men.

Yeah he took the plea deal to serve 1 year in jail, he was told he would get a long sentence if he went before a jury. The prosecutors wouldn't drop a sex crime case but even the judge said there wasn't any evidence so that's all they could do. I think that's one problem right there, every guy I know was brought up by a single mom. It's very rare to see a father in the picture, in my circle most mothers had to have the bad boy who then ran off and left them to raise their kids alone. The sad thing is they still try for bad boys while good hard working men can't get any time with them. Happened to my sister also, I really wish woman where I live stopped blaming the men and looked in the mirror and looked who they are sleeping with.

when i was a kid two girls tied me up and had their way with me. the scars run very deep from such a betrayal, i thought they were my friends. but the worse part is their attitudes, they knew no one would believe me and they were right. my mom said i was asking for it since i went with them, all with a laugh. yeah shame had a lot to do with not telling anyone. thanks to reddit i was able to get up the courage to talk to some family members about what happened to me.

well i for one can say first hand being jumped by a gang pales in comparison or for that matter any physical trauma it's the mental aspect of it all. the title just comes off as inciting you say you just want discussion but you go about it all wrong. saying you want to reinstate due process is fine, saying its the same as being jumped by a gang or dunked in a toilet is just asking for anger.

it's not that simple and it doesn't just happen to women. if you can say it so simply then you have no idea what you're talking about. for me the wounds heal easily enough but the mind just cannot recover from such a traumatic event. flash backs years later some times a smell or a sight and bam you're right back to that day reliving it over.
