Would you go to work if you weren't being paid? If no, are you planning to sue your employer for "forcing" you to do things without your consent? No? It's the same thing. Sex workers (unless they're children) are consenting to do what they do.

It's not one step away from rape. It sounds like you have messed up beliefs about sex and are trying to justify them by pursuing women. The OP's argument stands.

This is just untrue, and the people who are promoting it in the comments are basing their opinions on internet dating lore - not the real world. Most of the men who are getting a lot of the women these posts seem to idolize (influencers, models) are doing it because they have money/status. Hugh Heffner, Donald Trump, etc. etc. Apart from in tales from dark corners of the internet, women just don't care THAT much about looks when they aren't swiping on profiles. I'm a dating coach, and I have ver…

I'm hot and I second what she said. So, sorry. 🙃

I'm literally just here because I'm a old-time fan of Andrew's blog and it was SO EXCITING to find someone else who knows about it, too! 💛 I'm also a pretty solid purple-piller - not blue enough to be full-blue, but not red enough to be all-red. ❤💙

"Reading these threads" is the actual definition of confirmation bias-ing yourself according to the norms of a "vocal minority."

Bro you just straight-up don't know anything about women and how beauty is achieved. Even the women you think are "all natural" probably aren't.

My feeling is that you say this, but you're STILL swiping right on the girls that do this ish - you just don't know enough about makeup to know that's what you're doing. 😄

There's literally a statisic about it. The "money is a leading cause for divorce" thing isn't up for debate. The OP's original point, though - that men not making ENOUGH money - is, If you disagree. But I agree with it.

I think that wanting a wife who would be a good mother to your children (assuming you want children) is totally reasonable. As is wanting a partner who is nurturing. But wanting (or thinking of your wife as) a mother literally has a term in psychotherapy - "parentification." It's well-known to kill desire and cause conflict (transference). If you're finding that you really WANT your partner to be very similar to a mother to you, it may be worth looking into what was missing from your relationshi…

Not a fan of the personal attacks in this response. If you want to respond to my argument, do - I'd welcome a sprited debate! 🙂 But otherwise leave me alone.

IMO, many of the "gender roles" subs are full of men and women whining about how life is unfair and how the world would be better if the other sex just did what would make THEIR lives better. Instead of thinking "how could I change MY behavior to get what I want out of life?" the thinking is, "AN ENTIRE OTHER GENDER/society needs to change for me to get what I want out of life." To me, this dynamic seems to be people offloading all responsibility onto another gender or society to MAKE their live…

I honestly think that yes, that's likely some of it - I also think that a lot of the men on TRP-type threads spend more time reading Reddit instead of interacting with the world. 😄 And are not wealthy themselves, so they don't have a real way to filter and fact-check what they read on the internet about "what wealthy people do."

Omg THANK YOU. This is so true. It seems to be this myth perpetuated on the internet that Kennedy's marry Marilyns all the time - but I've never really seen things played out that way. In my own life, and from my experience watching people at the (very good) school I went to - that isn't true. Most of the men I've known in upper-class circles married Jackie Onasseses.

No. Cleaning houses is a TON of effort, and makes terrible money. The perk of C-suite and very very high-earning jobs is actually to allow for more leisure time.

Just have fun! 🙂 You have the rest of your life to be in the "settled in, committed" phase. The infatuated part is the exciting part - enjoy yourself. And the second part will come - it has to, based on science. 🙂

I follow a lot of therapists on IG, and they have a lot of that kind of content. I'd recommend it over Reddit any day, but the comment sections are trash - so Reddit is still better for that. 🙂

I grew up upper-class. None of the men I knew or were related to married women JUST because they were good-looking. This is an internet fallacy.

This is family of origin stuff, which is really the domain of a therapist. I hate to say it because I know that you mentioned that your therapist hasn't been helpful - but I'm not sure that Reddit will be able to figure this stuff out without a lot more context. It's possible that it might be helpful for you yourself to dive into a book on some of this stuff and learn about it yourself without asking your therapist at all - I'm not sure exactly what to recommend, but the book I tend to recommend…

I am a dating coach, so I'm not going to try to sell you all on the benefits of hiring a coach. 😄 But I will say that while I prefer to work with women, I DO end up working with and helping a lot of men get more dates. It tends to be because most men don't know how to present themselves to women, and because I know female attraction well I can help with that. There are also a fair number of men who tell me they want to work with me BECAUSE I'm a woman - from what I've been able to tell, some bec…

Yes yes yes!!! 👏👏👏 This is my line of thinking exactly - I wrote somethimy similar below and was afraid of getting downvoted to hell, but I'm glad someone else said it, too!! Connection, intimacy and emotional support are basic human needs that we're SUPPOSED to get from our partnets, if we choose to have a partner. This thing about "men not needing women," IMO, is prioritization of the masculine (earning potential, drive, ambition) over the feminine (emotional support, nurturing, play), which i…

This to me (I'm new, though) is the difference between the regular Red Pill sub and tbe Red Pill women sub. The Red Pill sub is full of men whining about how life is unfair and how the world would be better if women just did what would make THEIR (I.e., the men's) lives better. I would put the RP YouTubers you cited in this category. To me, this dynamic seems to be men offloading all responsibility onto women to MAKE their lives great and relationships gratifying, under the phrase "returning to …

First, I would be hesitant to describe you as a "below average WOMAN" - I might instead reframe that as a "woman with below-average LOOKS." Significant difference. 💛 Secondly, there are LOTS of men who also have below-average looks who would love to date you - there ARE definitely men who exchange status for beauty, but overall, like attracts like - and there are TONS of men with similar careers and life goals as you who are just looking for a a partner to share life with. Some of where I think …

Ask him to shower before sex, whether or not you decide to do oral. And be prepared that your first time may hurt (for some women, quite a bit), so it can br helpful to take all pressure off the experience to be "amazing," and just let it be the two of you, experiencing something special amd intimate together. Your first time will probably not be like movie sex, and basically nobody's is. Not creating expectations for what it "should be" can help you to appreciate what it is. ❤

The Red Pill sub is full of men whining about how life is unfair and how the world would be better if women just did what would make THEIR (I.e., the men's) lives better. RPW seems so far to me to be about women who want a more traditional gender dynamic for THEMSELVES, to varying degrees (there are career women as well as SAHM's here, I think) and don't especially care what other people d…

This this this. 👏👏👏 Most of the men in my family are doctors, and the women in my family are smart, well-educated, thoughtful, and a mix of stay-at-home mom's and women who have had careers. The ones married to women who weren't tend to kind of be talked about in the family - and not in a flattering way - in sort of a head-shaking way. I think that the "wealthy men dating younger, hot women" trope definitely exists, but moreso when it comes to very, very wealthy older men - not upper-middle-clas…

If you can, I might consider moving. SF tends not to have the demographic of Conservative men you're looking for - although you may have luck at a church event! 🙂 An added bonus us that guys at churches tend to be DYING to meet women there.

I'm a female dating coach in my late 20's, and I work mostly with women my own age. A LOT of these women are actively looking to settle down - especially the ones who want kids. So they're out there (I work with/am friends with a lot of them 😉)! The advice I typically give to my introverted clients is that they don't need to go to bars/clubs/wild social gatherings, but they DO need to be social in the ways that they like. The idea is that you don't want to meet womem who love bars if you hate ba…

YES, EXACTLY. 👏 I usually tell my clients that "we'll come up with a strategy in your first session, but good coaching is like a science experiment - I need feedback from you, and expect to iterate this and iterate this until we get it right." 🎉🎉

Okay! You may have your answer, then. 🙂 Also, though - you can date multiple people at once! 😉 And you can do that openly - you don't have to hide it from the women you're seeing. But you make the choice that's right for you. 👍

This is a female perspective, so this may not be welcome, but if it helps, I'm a dating coach and have dated (and coached) many a fuckboy in my day. My perspective - I feel like catching feelings is part of the fun. You don't have to marry everyone you catch feelings for. If you want to date casually - date casually! And then move on when you're feeling ready to move on.
