I played around a fair bit with Anki, in my opinion it's definitely better to make your own. It helps your memory a lot when you have some kind of connection to the cards, you can add your own mnemonics and personally choose images as that is very helpful for memorization. For example, when making a card for the word "dog" go on Google Images, find an image of a dog that you like and slap that shit on your card in place of the translated word. i see your point, but one could argue that in this particular case the hamstering that's happening is over/understating your partner count. i cba to look for a source here but i am pretty sure that it's well proven people lie even on anonymous surveys, especially when it comes to sensible shit like hookups. sure the numbers won't be complete garbage but skewed for sure.
