I'm specifically not lumping in the shoutys by specifying the shoutys at the beginning of the sentence! I too have worked with many very competent non-victimhood-paranoid women who I would hire in an instant. The thing is, these women are, like the others just trying to get the fuck on with geeky things and make some money and advance their career, silent, while the (usually less competent) shoutys rail on. Agree, if there's a need then the need is based on competency.
