Not familiar with Florida law. My understanding is that almost all states have done away with common law marriage, but to be double sure I would check with a Florida attorney.

This is untrue. You can negotiate basically anything in a prenup except child support, which has a certain minimum amount that is dictated by the non-custodial parents income. Anything else, including maintenance/alimony, and equitable distribution, can and are frequently negotiated in prenuptial agreements. That being said, if it judge believes that the agreement was not entered into freely and willingly, they can toss the whole thing out. That's why it's important that both spouses have their …

This needs to be higher up. A good prenup will be enforced, but she needs to be represented by independent counsel before she signs.

Wish I had more upvotes for this. For the same price the local rip-off artist charges for changing out generic dead dinosaurs, I can go full synthetic and swap all my filters. And I know it gets done right.

"He?" Tell your wife if she wants another chance to fix things she needs to cut off contact with that friend immediately and entirely. He is a supplicant white Knight/orbiter trying to convince your wife to branch swing to him.

When her husband called, knew she had driven six hours to have dinner with me and go to a swank hotel, and believed her when she told him we were just friends.

Join your local volunteer fire department. /r/firefighting can help you with more information. Don't join the ems unit, as it will be full of betas and unattractive females.

6 speed does, in fact, mean manual transmission. Even a 9 speed auto is still just a slush box.

Right + ability. Ukraine had the former and not the latter. So did OP's plate's husband.

Ownership is defined as having the right and the ability to exclude others from a certain piece of property. I own the house under this definition only as long as I pay my mortgage and property taxes . if I stop paying either one, someone will exclude me. On this theory, only the state ever owns real property. The female is analogous to the state here. Even when you own the pussy, you are responsible for maintenance and upkeep. This can be paid in various currencies - alphas pay in tingles, beta…

Name all eight of your great grandparents... Of course you can't, they were illiterate peasants in Krakow or Delhi. But you have their eyes, hands, face, voice, and you carry them with you. You are a terrific accident of history and luck. The odds of you existing are trillions and trillions to one. Your entire lineage is a bucket brigade passing a terribly fragile cargo from hand to hand to hand over tens of thousands of years. Who the fuck are you to put down the bucket?

Yes. With some exceptions, premarital assets stay with the owner during a divorce, whereas marital assets are divided "equitably" (not equally)

As previously discussed on this thread, if you want kids, marriage is the best way to ensure their success. Just make your $$ first (pre-marital assets) and get a rock solid prenup.

I wouldn't go that far. It's better than what preceded it, where a bigger guy with a sword could take all your shit whenever he felt like it. And no, you can't force someone to stay married to you if they don't want to. That's dangerously close to chattel slavery, which we haven't had here in this country in, say, about a century and a half.

If you don't sign, you go to court, where the case will drag out for 18-48 months and eventually a judge will hear testimony from you and your wife and decide exactly how much of your shit she should get. That assumes you have any shit left by the time the case gets in front of the judge, since both of you will need $350/hr divorce attorneys (flat fees are banned in my state). And wouldn't you know it, to protect the financially disadvantaged party, you'll be expected to pay for her lawyer as we…

Domestic violence is prosecuted in the Criminal Court in New York City and State. Very aggressively, I might add. The district attorney will prosecute in cases where the complaining witness is non cooperative, based upon her past out of court statements. you may want to update your original post to remove this misinformation.

Nasty. I had to deload by 50% of my 1rm when I realized I was rounding my back at the start of the pull. But lower back injuries are no joke. Best it was ever explained to me: before you pull, tighten your lower back to bring your ass and shoulder blades together. Hold that for the rest of the rep.

Full disclosure, I'm utterly unfamiliar with the New Testament and so responded to this thread only as it pertains to Genesis 1. That said, most, if not all of the Old Testament is both history and parable. Religion has always picked up the baton where human understanding ceases or fails. We can date the universe back 13.7 billion years, but then what? An atheistic, Hitchensian explanation is that the universe simply appeared. Began. Spontaneously detonated into gas and congealed into matter and…

The word day, as used in Genesis, is generally accepted to NOT mean a revolution of the Earth on its axis around the sun. Why? Well, let's look at the creation timeline. When did G-d "separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years"? The fourth day. How then could the first three days be measured without a day/night cycle? " Day " need not refer to the 24 hour period of time we think of. There was, at that time, no one but G-d. A day could be…

This. Imagine your entire lineage, from the first homo sapiens to you tapping away on your keyboard, as a ten thousand year bucket brigade. Inside the bucket is your Y chromosome. For ten thousand years, the men in your line have managed to a) reproduce and b) ensure the survival of their offspring. Do you really want to be the first asshole in ten thousand years to screw that up and drop the bucket? And on purpose?

Downvote for being blatantly wrong. Common law marriages are only valid in Alabama, Colorado, Kansas, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Iowa, Montana, Utah, Texas, and the District of Columbia Edit: down votes for accurate information? This sub is better than /r/legaladvice
