Thank you lol. I am glad to hear someone feels the same as me. I have had the same experience as you as I was someone who grew up in an environment where I was considered unattractive but is now is a more favorable environment. I just can’t relate to people and men who are and have always been picture perfect, beautiful, and “normal” and so I don’t find that attractive. There needs to me something else there for me to be interested that shows me they’d understand me on that deeper level
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/26 07:28 AM

I would not think such a man has anything wrong with him. Maybe if he only liked 1% of women or liked only women wildly different than himself I would find that weird. Frankly, I find it is weird how many women men are into and it sort of makes me uncomfortable thinking that if a guy thinks I’m attractive he also thinks that of 50+% of women. I’d prefer a guy with some standards / type that I fit I do think most men naturally are attracted to most women but most women are not attracted to most m…
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/26 06:30 AM

No but I’d say every woman is attracted to her own personal 10-15% of men. A low income woman from the hood is going to be attracted to a different type of man than a country from girl who will like a different type of man than an alt city girl. Some woman like men others say are anorexic and sickly, others like men who are more feminine, some like blonde hair and blue eyes and others like a nice tan and black hair. There is some degree of agreement among what is considered attractive but amongs…
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/26 12:59 AM

It’s not about a simple percentage. A bad relationship would be one in which you’re not attracted to your partner, have nothing in common, feel unseen and unheard. That will breed resentment and in the long run cause a breakdown in respect and in both people’s ability to treat their partner well. At the root of it you need someone you’re attracted to and are actually into, that doesn’t need to be in some top percent of all men.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/26 12:37 AM

I mean that seems like it’s just a difference between men and woman. In the past not every man reproduced while most woman who could did. Social media may play into it a little bit but seems pretty clear than women naturally just aren’t attracted to most men.

Your last point makes no sense. If a man is worried about not being desired by their long term partner, having has casual sex in the past will not change that. Are you arguing that if you experienced casual sex, you now know you are physically attractive and don't need to worry about if your wife/gf thinks so? This is nonsense and there are so many factors at play, at the end of the day if your gf/wife doesn't want you sexually, no amount of previous experience is going to fix that and the self …

A man who is bringing up those topics unprompted is not a good choice. It doesn’t matter if there is truth to what he says, him bringing it up demonstrates a sort of pent up frustration that needs to come up which will lead him to be overly combative and you to have to act more masculine/bro like to make him feel comfortable and heard. There are plenty of men, who lean conservative, red pill, etc. who have the social intelligence and grace not to push that shit onto the young woman they’re talki…

I don’t think so, I would consider her a case of a woman with deep internal issues. There’s a difference between wanting to have a lot of sex and wanting to have tons of very risky, deviant sex with hundreds upon hundreds of men and strangers. Personally I have quite a high sex drive I would say comparable to that of a man and know a couple of other women like that. Normally it just results in a woman with a long term partner whether that be FWB or a serious relationship. If you want lots of goo…

Most single mothers exist due to cultural/other factors which cause a woman to be attracted to the wrong traits in men (intimidation, violence, possessiveness, spontaneity, nonchalance, dark triad etc.). The groups of women who have this mis calibrated attraction would still pick the wrong men even if they approached because they fundamentally just like the wrong things. They wouldn’t suddenly approach the nice safe guy and have a good relationship with him. Approaching is a way for women to int…

So you’re suggesting that it really only makes sense to approach as a woman in the case of there being a guy I’m interested in that is an acquaintance or friend? For the case of a friend I understand the game being played. I think it’s smart as a woman (in both the friendship and acquaintance case) to give strong IOI to the guy she likes. No “oh but I glanced at him” bs but actual flirting, touching, etc. If he doesn’t take the bait he’s either oblivious or not interested. If he’s oblivious then…

Because he is typically more traditional in values he just feels he fulfilled his masculine role and I fulfilled mine. And I show I am not settling in the way I treat him and from who I am and in the life we build together

I mean is your issue with me that I am also claiming that I am taking unnecessary risk by approaching and that’s why I don’t want to do it anymore? At the heart of what I’m saying is “I get good results by not approaching and bad results by approaching so I don’t approach anymore.” It’s not an effort thing. If approaching had worked for me I’d be here telling every woman to approach! It didn’t so I am explaining why it didn’t and it’s because it introduced men into my dating pool who weren’t com…

I don’t know how to reply to comment sections like that so I’ll respond like this: First point: Some women are like that. I’d say the percentage of women who are like that is far far far smaller than the percentage of men who are as I’ve described. If that’s enough to dissuade you from approaching then that’s fine with me. I don’t really care if men on mass approach or not. Hell men rarely approach nowadays especially the sort of introvert/nerdy men I like. That’s how I know they must really wan…

I don’t but I find it pretty easy to filter down the men who approach me into who wants a LTR and who doesn’t. My argument is that if what I want is a good LTR with a somewhat masculine man who isn’t settling for me, I can find that from the pool of men who express interest in me without having to go through the added effort and risk of dealing with the men I would theoretically approach myself. I would then know I wasn’t settled for, feel validated and chosen, and live happily ever after and su…

I also already addressed your points. 1 — I believe basically any man will do this or some version of this that is non-optimal for me. When the prospect of sex/a relationship is on the table for men they are inclined to take it given how hard the dating world is for them. It’s smart for them to take it! I would encourage men to if they get the chance! There’s a spectrum for sure that ranges from: wants to use me for sex, is considering a relationship and wants sex in the meantime, wants a relati…

If you’re a halfway decent looking woman basically any man will accept your advances regardless of if he likes you, thinks you’re relationship material, or whatever. Sure, not every man will use a woman for sex, but the vast majority are happy to have sex with her while they decide if they ultimately want a relationship. Why would I as a woman even begin to entertain the idea of risking that? Why would I waste even a second of my time approaching and then blocking a guy when I realize he is look…

Height (5’9+ is ideal) Shoulders Hairstyle / Hair But is frame a reasonable option to include? I think a man being proportional and having the right balance between his different characteristics is important. I’ve found some shorter men attractive but usually they don’t have super large shoulders and are typically just stocky throughout, which to me signals strength and just looks right

Helping my friend move to Kansas City. Have like 3 ikea furniture pieces to build but there’s a bar next to her apartment I may pick up a drink there to make the building more fun lol
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/26 02:41 AM

You mean the preference for a less attractive but stable man as a woman gets older? I’m not going to say that doesn’t happen but I’m saying there’s ways for a less conventionally attractive man to find a woman who is obsessed with him at a young age. I’m personally in my early 20s so it’s not like I changed my preferences due to some external need I just had these preferences organically
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/26 05:30 PM

I mean that’s just not true. I was into them and no one else. For one odd looking guy I’m talking about, I rejected a very conventionally attractive tall guy for and everyone was confused as to why. It’s not like the conventionally attractive guy was even just trying to hook up, he wanted a relationship with me but I just didn’t care. I wanted the odd guy I got the odd guy.

The man may think it is ownership but the woman doesn’t think so. She knows her personhood and value lies in something outside of sexuality. And aside from that I know personally I am not owned by any man aside by boyfriend. I’ll just say I’m acting and speaking in good faith. If you assume your woman is acting in bad faith then you need therapy

TAKING Ok I mean I am assuming you love this woman and are not simply seeing her as a conquest but if all you want is to own her body in some weird way then yes you are fucked because no real human relationship will ever replicate this fantasy you have of a completely and utterly submitting her body to you. If that sort of sex occurs naturally between two people it’s simple and easy and fun. If it doesn’t, creating the environment to be slutty and kinky can be uncomfortable and difficult. It can involve facing various insecurities held by both partners, being open and honest in ways that may hurt the other person, literally physically can result in moments of painful or unpleasant sex, and handling aversions to certain acts (like anal/oral) which may have shown up after or because of some previous …

To her there is no farce. She is happy with the status quo, she doesn’t need sex and adventurous sex to feel fulfilled as a woman or in her life the same way he needs it. She very well could genuinely want no other man but him. I think he needs to approach it completely separately from the idea of her past. It should NOT be “hey why aren’t you acting like this for me but you did for someone else?” That is accusatory and will likely just make her defensive and scare her away. Instead, make it “I …

Men hold sexual experiences and prowess as much more essential to their sense of self and life fulfillment than women do. To her, she just doesn’t see why it’s worth what would definitely be difficult, uncomfortable, and intense work (which goes both ways and many man will be unable or unwilling to self reflect and improve themselves as well), for something that doesn’t seem to matter that much. I don’t believe sex is the only way to show your love and appreciation for your husband / LTR. Frankly, the extent of what a woman is willing to do with a partner sexually is a product of who she is in that moment, who the man is, and their chemistry. Maybe their husband/LTR is an amazing guy who they love very much and want to give their life to but the situation just isn’t right for that amazing sexual chemistry to form. For instance, maybe the husband is a bit insecure, maybe he has talked ne…

Yeah most aren’t. I believe the source of many women’s complaints is 1. Not actually thinking about what type of man they want and coming up with an impossible list of contradictory traits that only a psycho could even pretend to embody all at once for a second before revealing their true colors or 2. Having an idea of who you want that does exist but then assuming they are naturally attractive to this man instead of thinking about and becoming what he might be looking for

I’ll admit women probably more blatantly don’t try to appeal to men at all. Functionally they can get away with it however since so many men chase them. I address men because men are most vocal people asking for help regarding dating. Men do try to appeal to women and I’m saying they’re optimizing wrong. If you’re uncool and don’t fit in but are trying to work on yourself and become closer to generic chad you’ll likely fail. So why not lean into your weirdness and become someone with your own ni…

If you think of attraction as a game then maxing out your general appeal to grow a pool of women who want you and then specializing to pick a particular type of woman will work for some men. But, for others this won’t be enough to push you over the edge with many or any woman. Nothing wrong with that we all have the cards we are dealt. My argument is that in these cases you can max out some niche appeal even if potentially sacrificing general attractiveness to be able to form a pool of potential…

I mean for the sake of conversation what am I supposed to say? They were objectively not aesthetically top tier but I was obsessed with them and personally extremely down bad for them while other people could look at them and say “oh he’s kind of odd looking.” The point of my post is that you can be unattractive to 99% of people but if you play things right you can find the 1% that will go crazy for you

Thank you! I agree. I'll admit that the only men I know who fit these archetypes and aren't successful are all afraid to express interest in women for various reasons. I've heard the take that a woman has some window occurring at various frequencies where she is open to sex/love with the next acceptable guy who offers. If you shoot your shot you'll find those windows! I don't think what I'm saying is contradictory to this. I just think you should be weary of what type of girl the niche style you…

Let me reframe. Every man is competing for women. For a woman to intrinsically want you, you need to be justifiably better than other men so she thinks she has caught a good one. You can compete to be a generic chad in the eyes of a woman by being generically attractive and trying to generally appeal to all women. I think this is a bad idea and a losing battle. Instead, maybe compete to be the best in a niche the women you want are into. When I say to lower your standards I mean that if all you …

The reason I made this post was specifically thinking about the differences between the different women I know and how much other women enjoy certain types of men that I have no attraction to. It makes it clear to me that most men can find someone to revere them if they're looking in the right place/display the right traits. I'll list some specific niches for specific women that I knew in my life. The men who I've seen display these traits are all successful in their own way despite varying in l…

Hmm maybe join one of those knowledge sharing groups where people voluntarily teach classes to each other (if you want a more liberal and intellectual type of girl). There's always groups where people spend more time outside (camping, hiking, bird watching groups). Women do love their birds. I admittedly don't know what the older gen likes to do or what their social norms are so I can only think of doing activities that a woman who doesn't spend all her time on tiktok or TV would like to do

He literally citied specifically "hot anime goth girls" who I think tend to enjoy a mixture of toxic, mentally ill, clingy men who dress in black and are skinny pretty boys. A woman won't want a man who could only be described as a "boring wallflower." That's why you appeal to a niche. Maybe you're shy but you become a smart, sensitive poet who writes her letters describing things you're a little too shy to say in person. These things you cite as having mass appeal are valid. But for many men this won't be enough to compete with. If you're an average guy and all you do is focus on the gym, hygiene, good clothes, ect. women will just compare you to other basic men doing the same thing who will often be better looking, taller, more charismatic, and more appealing than you. If you instead make yourself appeal to a specific niche you may very well be one of the top men of that niche and can snag a woman who genuinely…

If you agree you should bring what people want to the table, then appealing to a niche is smart because it lets you narrow down what you can do to to attract a woman. For instance, an urban city girl who grew up low income might want a hard, gangster who pays her credit card bills, whereas a religious country girl is looking for a church going, kind man. Sure, you can do the basics to increase appeal to all women (income, gym, hygiene) but if you're still struggling after that and don't know wha…

XD I can’t tell you because I’m not exactly that but from what I’ve heard many of them want exciting guys. Like “this guy acts like he’s a main character” sort of guy. I think a fight or two may help you in this case

I think if a man is able to identify a subset of women who he wants and that subset does not find him attractive he should either improve himself to become attractive or (if not able to) should find a different subset. It’s a careful calculation of your own worth vs that of other women. But if you’re unable to find someone who likes you as you are you are definitely shooting too high or shooting in the wrong direction entirely

I am honestly telling you to ignore this advice beyond a certain point. I disagree with your last point. The overweight ugly dude into punk can get punk girls if he leans into the punk archetype and becomes attractive based on that criteria. I agree with you, you can do some things to make yourself generally more desirable but if you want to find a good long term partner, you’ll want to filter based on stricter criteria and display the stronger parts of yourself so you’ll attract those who want you. I think I genuinely believe that no matter how small there is a subset of woman that would be genuinely attracted to a particular type of man at his peak. I think men should focus on becoming the best they can be in their niche and then filter for women who believe this niche is superior to other niches. The issue with your thinking is your assumption that a woman can and will adjust her desire in accordance with what she can obtain. As seen by how many women are exiting the dating market or staying single by choice vs men long term, women will choose to be alone over being with a man they are not attracted to. I think men don’t understand that women have a very different sexuality. Most women can’t learn to enjoy sex and companionship with a man they are not attracted to. I was talking to my bf…
