What helped me heal was the fact that I could start over and create something new with this new space. It felt like a huge gaping void in my life at first, but I soon realized I could get back out there and discover new things I like and get reaquainted with things that I used to do before I met the ex. It's a chance to reconnect with you again. Also, if you're up for it, it's another chance at running into someone who fits that space. A good support system goes a long long way. My best friends …

Yeah. You should check her on that. That's a no go.

I have not heard from her since the last time she asked about status updates on the filing. We've been divorced since Dec of last year. So just a month I've been free from the legal side of it. I don't expect her to contact me either. She was the breadwinner. She shouldn't need anything else from me. She should be able to look up whatever info she needs online. I blocked her and don't think I'll ever hear from her again. She had my email but if she's desperate she'll contact me that way. However…

Its only a waste if you didn't learn anything. Losses are only losses if you got nothing out of your experience. What have you learned about yourself?

You'll get over it soon enough. Just keep focusing on being the best you and the best dad you can be

You still have kids. Why should they suffer because of what this woman did? Continue to grow and be better for them if not for yourself.

Keep going. Life gets better. You'll meet new people and you will make better memories and moments. Don't let heartbreak rob you of that gift.

I hear you. You are seen. Heard and recognized man. There isn't any shame to be had. Divorce is hard. ESPECIALLY if there is bitterness and resentment in the mix. You're doing fine. Just don't be afraid to feel what you feel. Feel it and release it. The thing that has helped me the most is I've learning how to let go in a healthy way. I still struggle. Luckily my crying days seem to be behind me but I'm sure I'll shed a few when this divorce finalizes. I can't wait to have my party lol

You have to stop looking at it for what you want it to be and see it for what it is. Do you really want to be with someone that doesn't want to be with you? Do you really want to stand in the way of your happiness? You have to reshape the way you're looking at it. You're not just losing a relationship. You're gaining a chance to create the life YOU Ultima want to live.

Then you got your marching orders. Keep going. It'll pan out eventually. Until then focus on becoming your best self and reconnect with you. Do things you like. Your STBX isn't your concern anymore.

No. It doesn't matter because you can't control that. Tell the truth. Be honest. Don't lie and don't shit on your ex-wife. Keep it classy. Let the kids decide if they wanna keep building with you. Trust them. If they know your love is real they'll be there with you. They don't have to pick sides. So don't treat it like it's a tug of war match. That's a really immature way of looking at it because honestly... its not about who's right and wrong so much as it is about moving forward in a healthy a…

Well sounds like you need to tell your side. Let the kids make their decision on how they will move going forward

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
