Happens with men too. For both sexes, it's about the age and whether or not they had kids. My wife's doctor didn't bat an eye when she asked to have her tubes tied even though she was in her 20s, but we just had our third kid.

Not having a lock accessible from outside probably breaks some type of code, too. Either way, I'd see that sign and figure it out ranks the other, and walk in.

The one on the left has a dual gender sign just to the right. Both bathrooms are for either sex, they probably just couldn't remove the sign off that door for whatever reason. Honestly, I like this sub, but this post is stupid.

I work in a corporate workplace, and a male coworker wears a kilt in the summer. Kilts are not against the rules (they fall under skirts), but shorts are. More the power to him.
