To cope with life's challenges and sadness, I've found it helpful to have a solid support system in place. For me, that support comes from my religious faith and belief in the unchanging laws of the universe. This is what keeps me grounded and helps me navigate tough times. You can also find your own source of support and strength, whatever that may be, to help you through life's difficulties.

To me, "it is what it is" mindset is a beginning step in accepting whatever situation one is in, and even through the pain might not go right away, but think that way acts acts a good fallback.

Indifference. Practice indifference. You should not worry about things that you cannot control. Also, learning to let things go as easily as you accepted them, is another lesson that helped me quite often.

For me, I want mental peace and inner solace. The rest is dispensable.

6) avoidance, would agree with her often to just avoid the fight even though I didn't. again building resentment. 7) too worried about her being happy I thought avoiding conflict and worrying more about her happiness would make the relationship work?🤨 Though, I think confronting when necessary is okay. Am I wrong?

Your material needs are met, so it's time to find something bigger about the universe we live in. I get it. Right. Thanks for saying it better than me. English is not my first language.

In my culture, whichever spiritually inclined man happens to get free from bondage in the form of marriage and family (typically at an older age than you, after feeling that he accomplished everything he needs to) and does not worry about material things like money. He chooses to utilize his time in realizing the love of devotion towards god. But you do you friend.

Well said. I think that goals and ambitions, health, and parents should be top three priorities for most men. You can add money to top four or combine it with goals and ambitions. But women should not be so high on a pedestal to be placed first priority in all cases. Because if she's becomes first priority before anything else and that's all a man can think about, he is bound to fade away from his own identity.

I've dreamt of something similar many times, losing everything and ultimately feeling lost due to life's relentless circumstances. But fortunately for me, I'm from south asia, and in its culture, losing everything (wife, children, money, property, friends) for a spiritually inclined person means that you finally get a God-given opportunity to focus on nothing but your internal happiness and love towards god, as it transcends any form of material pleasure. Maybe not totally appropriate for this s…

Looks like she found an excuse to end it and mostly likely to be free to 'chase her dreams' (meaning: sleep around). You sir, should think that you dodged a frickin cannon.

Insecurity stemming from unhealthy childhood, where she might have been bullied or talked down on when done something poorly.

I'm sorry for your situation, but could it possibly be because she thought she could have her way with you in that situation? I don't want to sound rude, but it seems to me that you were laying it all out by revolving your life for her and her happiness. Sometimes, not always, when women see that if they get away with making their partner do whatever they want, they begin to lose respect for their husbands/boyfriends, because generally, women don't want a man who they can trample all over. If th…

"The Rational Male" by Rollo Tomassi really describes your situation right now. Early on in life women look for partying, but when the wall hits, they suddenly want security and stability. Then, as kids become grown adults they seek the "thrill" again. Sad situation but becoming more common in western culture.

This thread reminds of the stages of women described in the book " The Rational Male" in many ways.

If you have spiritual or religious beliefs, you can get more involved to seek internal solace.

Though, I'm no expert, so take my opinions with a grain of salt. I think she is right. Maybe it is best for both of you to separate. But who knows, if you finally discuss this with her, she might change her mind, like usual (?), and say she dont want it after all. If that happens, definitely get out, fast. If she also agrees, then it would be best to achieve a non-contested divorce for your mental wellbeing and her "insecurities". Again, I'm no expert, so take my opinion with a pinch of salt.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
