Firstly I’m sorry you’re going through this. I was that guy 5 years ago, and we’re now married with kids. A couple of thoughts: i never intended to string my wife along, but did have massive anxiety having seen my parents separate. Additionally my career wasn’t exactly firing on all cylinders which furthered my reluctance. Have you considered if any of these are a factor? my now wife gave me an ultimatum. She also did provide example rings that she wanted which helped me move past the mental bar…

There is so much tail in the world. Why would you ever need to orbit?

Many of us, at some point in our lives, are guilty of the first contract. This is right out of "No More Mr. Nice Guy".

Go get rejected hundreds of times on dates/bars. Also, aging helps.

I have yet to come across a woman who extend or entertain a quarter of the level of effort you put into your husband. He is one lucky guy.

I am an interviewer, and the applicant is applying for a competitive job. I ask questions that I actually care about: 1) Does she like to camp?, 2) Is she on Facebook, and if so, does she have the application on her cell?, 3) Can she cook...etc. As the interviewee, she is doing most of the talking, and I'm chiming in when necessary, approving, and disapproving; I'm keeping it light and having fun, but I'm continually sending the message that I am the selector. Because the reality is I am.
