Okay, but what are the statistics on this? What percentage of abductions are committed by men vs women? I would bet that the vast majority are men. Couldn't find a good stat online though.

There are varying degrees of accountability. If she had just sent a "go kill yourself" text, that's not exactly excusable but pins her with less accountability. This was coercion of a person who clearly was not in control of their mental faculties. He was clearly very troubled. The way some of those texts read, she could easily have been the thing that pushed him over the edge.

I mean... is this chick just totally making shit up? Or is there any sort of credibility to what she's saying? I'm inclined to think she has something illegal in her bag and that's why she goes nuts.

Eh, maybe the middle. The dude who responded sounds almost as awful as the OP

Really? My experience with former LTRs was totally the opposite. A girl will never admit that the guy friend she keeps around is her backup plan. When asked point blank, "NO WAY OMG, he's just a friend!" Plausible deniability in its most obvious form.

I have no problem with what the writer was getting at, but this guy is just insufferable. And let's be honest, this "9" dancer/model (who performs in artsy shit) is probably gross. I have a lot of hot friend-girls who I take to the bar, and there is usually no shortage of guys trying to hit on them. It's the method of hitting on the girls that guys usually get wrong (i.e. buying them drinks, being scared off easily, etc.). On a related note, shit testing from the other side is really fun.

Well I value my time, so I'm not going to respond to each of those points, but the simple presumption that everyone that subscribes to this subreddit is "at the bottom of the mountain" waiting for you to pull them up is almost as egotistical as this post itself.

I've read some bullshit posts in this sub, but this is the one that gets me to unsubscribe. I haven't skimmed such a long, thinly-veiled humblebrag in a long time.

Really? So when an author sits down to write a video script, his primary motivation is, "Hmm... how can I manipulate people's emotions?"

Nope, not mad at all. Enjoy your gross body.

Wow. How delusional are you? Movies aren't written to manipulate truths. Sometimes they do that, but that is not why they're written.

Fully prepared for the backlash, but guys, this thread is ridiculous. Every single comment responding to the (fucked up) OP of the linked thread is telling her how fucked up she is. And they're almost all women. It may give you hope but do not let it blind you to the need to protect yourself. AWALT, I'm sure even the women complaining about her being a cunt have thought about doing this or similar at some point but have only been stopped by way of good upbringing and a solid moral compass. Reali…

I think I understand where you're going, and I do appreciate the dialogue here. There have been some great posts on this sub, and I don't mean to diminish the whole community based on this one post (or a trend in posts). Don't get me wrong - I have my nights (and days) that I'm aggressively looking to bring someone home. Those are fun times. It's when that becomes your reason for interacting with every human being in your life that the pussy-hound mentality really becomes a detriment (both to yo…

I honestly don't care about you at all, I took issue with the piece of writing you put out. I don't know you, I don't know the ins-and-outs of your relationship. This isn't a constructive conversation, so let's just stop.

I never was pursuing girls to up my number. That's not the way it came off in your post. That's fine if you'd like to call me insecure - a stranger on the internet calling me insecure doesn't bother me. What really bothers me about your post is the way you decide that the human being you had a relationship is a worthless piece of shit because you have disagreements. That's a sentiment I see very often on this sub - if you argue or disagree about things, then fuck them because there are other gir…

Sure, why not. Here's my point - in my experience, the guys who go after girls to increase their "number" are often the ones who you can sniff out as prowling for girls. If you really want to, can you get 100 girls to sleep with you in a year? Sure. Is the quantity something to brag about? Not in my mind. What I think TRP does a good job of is helping people be aware of the external forces that often overwhelm people in social settings. Yes, there are things we can do to set ourselves up to be s…

That's not what I said. It's not like we're going to have a constructive conversation here, and I don't like wasting time. So let's not pretend that's what we're doing.

my number went from zero to almost 60 in under three years. You sound like a total douche. Don't care what principles this sub comes up with, there are two sides to any story. We're all human. Yes, women are different. Yes, they suck sometimes. No, that doesn't mean that you treat them like sub-human trash.

HARO stands for "Help a Reporter Out"... it matches news reporters with PR people. Goes around to a lot of different places, so the Fiscal Times is looking to interview those two categories of people, which I found quite humorous.
