No, I very much respect his want to not talk about these things with me. I asked people to tell me about their experiences as a man and how they led to them becoming men's rights activists. I care about men a lot and think they deserve more than the world currently gives them, thank you very much.

But what about when people are genuinely in love? And most households are dual-income with the economy in the state that its in, and what about marriages without kids?

I'm actually kind of curious about that, im really new to reddit (only made an account 2 years ago to do an AITA post and then never used it again) but what does that mean exactly?

Thank you so much for your response!! To be honest I came into this expecting a lot more hate and I've only had like two hate comments so I really appreciate everyone being so nice and giving me lots of resources!!

Thank you so much for your response! And please know that I personally want to empathize with you for anything you have gone through/ will go through in the future. I hope one day we can remove these issues altogether for everyone.

Except I won't? Why do you assume I'm going to choose to resent him?

Thank you so much for responding! I most certainly agree. I seem to notice a trend of autism being underdiagnosed in women and ADHD being underdiagnosed in men (particularly in where I'm from). The quiet and less social behaviors commonly associated with autism are seen as "preferable" in young girls while high bouts of activity are seen as "preferable" in young boys. Its a huge problem and I hate seeing young kids going through it.

Thank you for your reply!! I agree, and we've both been pretty clear about leaving topics that get us heated away from our relationship.

Thank you so much for your response! I honestly hadn't given much thought to how there are little to no institutions to directly help men.

I come from a large veteran-centered area, so I've definitely seen about how male suicide rates are higher ESPECIALLY with veterans who don't receive the help they deserve and need. Thank you for responding!

I have in the past but as I stated above he doesn't like talking with me about it. He doesn't really like talking with anyone in his close circle about things like politics or anything he deems in that sphere. He grew up in a very strict religious home and now doesn't speak with his parents because they never accepted his different opinions/new religious beliefs.

Thank you so much for replying! I do want to clarify that by "womens only" or "mens only" issues I mean things like, the husband stitch for example or circumcision in newborns, but this was very helpful! It sounds like we both have the same ideals and just found different paths of getting there! :)

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
