0	Preparing for massive downvotes, but would like to share my opinion Hi! Like I mentioned in my post, I've only dabbled in "feminism" and took a couple of classes in college as well. I had the rather surreal experience of being in a class with about twenty-five women, one gay man, and one (straight, black) man who happened to drop out after the third class because of the extremely heated (and I thought hostile/bordering on insane) conversations. 0	Preparing for massive downvotes, but would like to share my opinion I agree with Infammo that the name “Women’s Studies” seems inherently contradictory in that the term does not reflect the movement’s overall goal of equality for women and men and I believe this train of thought is reflected in some universities and school programs that have changed the term “Women’s Studies” to “Gender and Equality Studies”.
