Can't say. I am not really looking for or putting myself in situations where women would 'jump my bones'. At 26 I met my gf - 4 years together. Before I was really struggling with finding a partner. I was confused, felt unwanted... I wouldn't say that me being "older" (me at 21 looking for a partner and then 5 years later) helped my case. We both gave eachother a chance.

I always knew my value, but my confidence went up when I started dating my current gf. Do women perceive me differently? - Can't say. I am in a happy relationship, I don't look at other women and I sure as heck don't want to. I think that this belief is connected with men getting more confident as they grow older, more mature, they learn more about dating (who is interested, who isn't), they have certain aspects to them that show women they can provide for the family (a job, place to live, regul…

Exactly. The double standards in some of this comments make my head spin.

I can say that when I was younger I was desperate for a relationship. But with years I didn't crave it as much, finding someone really special is important. Not every woman is a right woman for a relationship.

I think this is what a lot of people here sometimes forget with their constant bickering. There is nothing better than being in a relationship with a partner that you love.

Men really do have to invest more in a relationship. I always did. But there is something great in finally being with a partner you want. Also why be in a relationship if there's nothing special in it? Just break up. You can be alone, your gf can find someone else. Why waste time?

Very true. Every relationship I have been in required a lot more investing / energy from my side.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
