Cnn asked Megan rapino if she’d run for President because of her righteous crusade, even though her entire movement was based on a lie. Sorry if people find that maddeningly annoying.

Most “I hate cops” people have this exact story as why they hate cops. “Man I got caught doing something illegal and they actually gave me a ticket, ducking bullshit man!”

She was a non-binary other kin until that day, when she realized she wanted the protection of being a woman again.

You realize revenue isn’t pay right? Revenue is the money the fans pay to watch, buy merch, or buy tickets.

Idk what the hell happened it went down to 90 for a few hours said it had 52% voting and then popped back up to over 4K I think it was when it hit r/all something went fucky

Right each men’s and women’s had a training camp that brought in zero revenue, so that’s a wash, 28 to 11, but the point is still valid.

No, it does not. The entire us national team (men and women) operated at a loss. Pg 57 has a game by game breakdown and is the only part of the document that breaks down men v women. It shows the figures I quoted.

No they make more per year, not per match which is what the pay dispute is about.

Dude.... read the link, what you’re saying isn’t true pg 57

No they played 29 games

Well that’s the predicament the women’s team is in, they had a collective bargaining contract which gave them a base salary, but less per match bonus. Now that they won the WC and are playing more exhibition matches they want the opposite.

They don’t generate larger crowds that’s the whole point.per match women’s make about $560k in revenue, compared to the $900k men’s team brings in

According to the financial statements from the us national team pg 57 women on avg took in around $560k per game, and men $900k per game, not including endorsement deals or merch. Asking for more money per game is ridiculous

No, pay is based off of revenue generated, not views

It’s $900k a game for the men’s, and $566k a game for the women’s Yeah, maybe, but that’s a contract they agreed to, instead of the pay per game one.
/r/PussyPassDenied13/06/19 05:29 PM

From the financial breakdown given by the US national team, men’s on avg bring in just over $900k per game, while women bring in $560k per game.

Because per game they bring in substantially less income than the men’s team. The reason they don’t get more money after 20 games, is they chose to take a base salary, which the men don’t have.

Only once and the woman’s team played 30 games while the men’s team played 10. Per game men brought in more revenue. The women players likely took home more money than the men’s, but they’re asking for more money per match, even though the bring in less money per match than the men.

One year, they did, they also played 3x as many games, and were paid accordingly. Women’s team played 30, and men played 10.
/r/PussyPassDenied13/06/19 04:44 PM
5

Those charts are from games played by both teams, where the women’s team played 30 games, and the men’s played 10. It shows that per game men brought in more income, later in the document they break down total income by team and it shows the figures I gave. It should also be noted that 2017 is the first time women ever made more ticket sales than the men, and it only took them playing 3x as many games.

Better or not, it’s about dollars and cents. The men’s team brings in more money, they get paid more. I don’t see the problem.

Far be it from me to defend to the mens performance, it’s been garbage. But they bring in more money, it’s as simple as that.

According to the link you posted, page 54, men’s team revenue was $23 million, women’s revenue was $3million... The number you quoted comes only from ticket sales, and women’s were higher because it was a women’s WC year, they had more games and a major torny where men’s had mostly friendlies. The data also shows men had higher attendance at their friendly games than the women had during the World Cup.

I watch the us women’s national team. I also watch the men’s, but I don’t watch the mls. I want them to win, and if more people watch it would be great, and they’d get more money, but their argument doesn’t hold water, and claiming victimhood to get more money is disgusting.

I like this story because it’s the number one women hockey team playing multiple high school boys.

Lol, Yeah but the US are WC champions, the Aussie case is funny, and the same can be found for countless women’s sports.
/r/PussyPassDenied13/06/19 04:09 PM

And how would I control revenue? Revenue isn’t controlled by anyone, it’s what the fan/ advertisers pay to watch the sport. What they’re asking for is more money while making less revenue.
/r/PussyPassDenied13/06/19 04:08 PM

You’re right, that’s not obvious, here’s a link breaking it down.

The woman’s stat comes from the entire qualifying rounds and tournament, where the men’s comes only from the final tournament. So there are a lot more games for the woman’s stat which explains the viewership to revenue discrepancy.

Are they willing to take a pay cut to fund this noble cause? Or do they just want the men to take a cut?
/r/PussyPassDenied13/06/19 03:49 PM

Yes, it was a friendly so they say they weren’t playing 100%, but it was game prep for a international friendly they had upcoming. They lost 5-2 to the 15 year olds.
/r/PussyPassDenied13/06/19 03:43 PM

Based off revenue they make more.
/r/PussyPassDenied13/06/19 03:27 PM

They make a larger percentage of revenue they bring in, than the men do. The training facility and field conditions are all based of revenue coming in. You can’t have better pay, better facilities, and better fields, without making more money.

The ex-President of fifa said something along those lines lol link they should wear tighter shorts
/r/PussyPassDenied13/06/19 03:18 PM

The viewership is over the entire qualifying matches not just the torny for the women, but for men it’s just from the torny. More views means more adds, and everyone who can wants to advertise on something that shows to half the world’s population, so they pay a premium for that privilege.

American term for friendly
/r/PussyPassDenied13/06/19 03:08 PM

Their argument is, we win the World Cup, and the men’s team doesn’t, so they don’t deserve to be paid more than us. detailed argument found here

It was a record! And it means they’ll get more money! Good for them, I’m rooting for the us woman’s team, I hope they win!
/r/PussyPassDenied13/06/19 03:05 PM
19

Why? The money comes from views, ticket sales and merch. If you’re not bringing in the same amount as the men, why should you get the same amount of money?

Why?

You would think it’s that simple, yet google us women’s soccer and there’s hundreds of these articles written.
/r/PussyPassDenied13/06/19 01:44 PM
12

Maybe, part of that is because the women’s team also took annual contracts instead of entirely performance based pay. The men’s team only pays you if you play a game. So the percentages are a little different, that’s fine, but the magnitude comes completely from the viewership. If the woman’s national team starts getting more views, they would, and should get more money.
/r/PussyPassDenied13/06/19 01:16 PM

4.4 billion>>> 131 million I should also note the women’s numbers include all of the qualifying matches, whereas the men’s only includes the torny at the end, and women do receive a larger percentage of the revenue they earn, about 12% vs the 7% the men receive

No if you say you understand Alzheimer’s you don’t. Because no one does. We don’t understand the basics of how it works. It’s the same for quantum. We have a few ideas and models about some basics, but we don’t understand most of the fundamentals on why or how. Seriously I’m in grad level classes and every professor who teaches this says they don’t understand it.

What quantum mechanics is: (ih) d/dt Ψ(x,t) =( -h2 /2m) (d2 /∂x2 )Ψ(x,t) That’s a 1-D time dependent equation. I’ve seen 6-d versions both time dependent and independent. Most of the equations can’t be solved. If you talk to a physicist who only studies quantum phenomena he can’t explain why or how quantum entanglement works, or how to resolve the seemingly time traveling particles. So if a PHD can’t understand quantum after spending a lifetime studying it some neckbeard who watched a four min v…
