Don't make what illegal? The thing being protested? Surely that depends exactly the nature of that thing. Often the desired outcome of a protest is to make something illegal.

Traditional courtship rules are incredibly hetero and cis-normative. Traditional courtship rituals say nothing about how two men or two women are to court each other. This is part of the reason I'm really not interested in dating. I stress part because I think I fit the description of demisexual quite well but also I'm honestly just scared of dealing with shit like this. I'm not sure I understand what you're saying. If conception has taken place, there is no chance for either parent to 'opt in' - if no action is taken, both will become parents biologically and legally. Therefore, the only actions either parent could take at that point would be to 'opt-out': abortion for the mother or legal surrender for the father.

If the mother doesn't want to complete the pregnancy, but the father wants the child, I believe the final say rightly rests with the mother on whether to terminate. No man has a right to force a woman through the ordeal of pregnancy. I'd hope that this is a widely held view.
