Male doctor here. My female peers often have some difficulty in relationships. Some of it is due to unrealistic expectations, but on the other hand, we are all outliers of society in terms of education and income. In a country where barely 70% of people graduate high school, having a bachelor's and a doctorate narrows the pool of potential mates a bit if you're set on having someone with a similar level of career achievement. Factor in that women still want someone tall, good-looking, etc. and a…

If you grow traps, delts, and abs, it makes you look bigger without gaining much actual weight.

"Do what you say you will do" is good life advice in general. I'm in a relatively respectable career field and my peers are still flaky as hell.

Connery was a bodybuilder in the pre-steroid era. You keep your body fit, and it won't age badly.

Similar to how the best athletes or most popular guys in high school never actually did the bullying; rather it was the 2nd-or-3rd tier guys that went after perceived inferiors to elevate themselves...

Aging sperm makes derpy babies too. It just tends to be point mutations rather than nondisjunction. Edit: Downvoting doesn't make it not true, you chickenshit.

There are no new doctors that are going to be forced into 80-hour work weeks (other than residency, but that's been cut down TO 80, rather than increased. Are you perhaps talking out of your bum a bit?

Don't get me wrong, I'd stay doing the 80+ hour weeks of residency once I'm out, IF they made it worth my while, but it's not currently worth it in the medical system. There are certain (mostly surgical) specialties that will always be high-hours, but to my post-call brain, your reply sounds a lot like entitlement- "working less for us." If you want someone to work more or harder, you have to pay them.

New doctors in general are avoiding the 80-hour work weeks of the past, mainly because there's no extra reward for busting your ass any more.

Salma Hayek is curvy. The word has been taken by people that don't fit the description and now is woman-code for fat.

The point was that they didn't actually want to watch the movie, not that I'd already seen it...

You seem to be wanting to eat cake, but also have said cake uneaten when you are done eating in case you want to eat more cake later.
