2	Another Perspective on the Wage Gap I agree that just because something is physically demanding doesn't mean that it should be worth more and it doesn't mean you're doing more work. Moving rocks around is much more physically taxing than cleaning, but both are fairly monotonous tasks and I would consider them to be worth the same hourly salary. However, if a man can move 20 rocks an hour and a woman can move 15 per hour, it would make sense for the man to earn more for that specific job.
