I actually just got a gym membership. So it's in the works. I'm OK in regards to her now. Her and I broke up late 2014. Took til mid 2019 or so to feel OK. It's just the residual affects of the abuse. But yeah, getting to the gym and getting fit is in the works.

5 years to get over her. Still, 6 1/2 years later, the abuse from that relationship still affects me. Still the occasional nightmare. Few and far between now.

I used to. Blamed myself for many years. Took a long time to get past her abuse.

"A real man lives on his own" "A real man has tools" Word for word two quotes my abusive ex said to me 7 years ago now.

I'm like waluigi, minus the evilness. Tall, lanky, and awkward! No wonder why the ladies don't want me!

Except he has video proof of HER intent to drug him. She literally did this to herself.

My parents have been married since 1985, and they're still very close, loving and happy. I've always wanted to emulate their happiness and success with my own future marriage. But I've been through so much dating hell in the last 10+ years, I've gone MGTOW and given up. I've given up on the desire to be "happily married" some day. The dating scene isn't the same way it was in 1985. Not even close.

At least he can play on a free Xbox with free Xbox live and any free games he wants..... You know, to keep his mind off of all of this. Lol

I want to thank everyone that posted on this the other day. I've read all your comments thoroughly and I really have taken it all to heart. I do recognize that there are things that I need to work on, and while there were things I could have done better with the most recent girl, I do recognize that I wasn't the problem either. That said, I have decided that marriage and kids ain't for me, and frankly, I don't think relationships are either. But I do also have a lot of healing to do too. While I…

Well, the hospital overdosed me on morphine, I didn't do it to myself. I didn't know til after the fact. She came the next day to the house to help me pack to move. She yelled and screamed at me about dishes in the sink while I'm downstairs unable to stand or walk

Actually, I really love this comment. But yeah, you're right that I have a lot of healing to do. Thank you

It's not so much trying to fix her. It's trying to fix the situation I guess. If that makes sense. None of this situation makes sense.

What's hard, is that there's still a part of me that wants to talk to this recent girl to discuss and fix it, but she won't talk to me...... Like I did something wrong. It's so fucking hurtful. There's no real accountability from her at all.

The emotional pain and trauma that I've been dealing with from multiple situations from the last literal decade of my life. Yes, I know I'm lucky to not be married. No child support or STDs. But I'm still struggling with the trauma. And there WAS a false accusation...that was from the stalker. Hence needing to get a lawyer involved....i just beat her to it. And had paperwork to prove my innocence.

Maybe a bit of both. They're always so great at the start, and in the most recent relationship, it was pretty good. No real issues. Then suddenly it went to shit. She said she was thinking of breaking up with me for a few weeks prior to the stealing incident. It always goes to shit. And they ALWAYS turn it around on me. I'm always a kind, loving, caring guy and I don't mistreat them at all. Maybe that's my issue. Being an "asshole" isn't really a part of who I am I guess.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
