Years ago I walked more than 500 miles across Spain, following the Camino de Santiago. I was able to learn enough to be conversational but by no means fluent. Problem was, walking every day made it that I traveled through many different geographies with different dialects. Also living in Southern California for a number of years lately. Let's just say my Spanish is never correct, mostly understood and always laughed at. Oh well.

Generally sure, that thought has not changed. But it's just not that black and white. as you said, there are deviations. Even if only present in a small percentage of people, they can have large effects on an individual. There is plenty of literature on autoimmune disorders which affects the thyroid. Two of these in particular Crohn's and Graves disease are present in my immediate family. So it's not that far of a stretch that calorie intake is the main issue. it's like telling a cancer patient …

I only mention the scholarship because an earlier reply stated that I wasn't committed. People don't typically pay for your entire education unless you are fully committed to their program. I also think you're misunderstanding my use of the word diet in this context. I played college basketball; and was on a very aggressive diet (created by professionals), insane weight lifting and calisthenics programs, free unlimited food, and only managed to make it up to around 240 in 4 years. Financed $4500 on a 24 month term. I have terrible credit and payed outrageous interest on the financed amount. Shot a piston rod through the engine block last summer and had to pay for a new motor to be put in also. There were definitely other factors that slowed my payments...but it was surprising how quick I was able to save and apply funds after focusing on myself instead of just gettin' my dick wet.
