I agree, however I felt the need to kind of leech off that movement because if you just go ranting and raving about the unnecessary deaths each year from blood loss and infection people just look at you like you're crazy. There was a good time when we were fighting for women to get back their right to autonomy in the US to talk about circumcision as a invasion of autonomy but whenever I tried to bring it up in askfeminists, askwomen, TwoX they just told me I was doing a whataboutism and I was subsequently banned from all of them. Nothing will change for men. At the very most id get "we had to fight for our own change, do it yourself. " hence why I feel there really are no true allies.

Incorrect. The constitution supports citizen militias against the government in the case that it becomes tyrannical. You are required to do a federal background check from federally licensed dealers, there is backlash against legislation that requires the same background checks for private sales though. Many people carry guns for many different reasons. Some out of fear, some to incite fear, others out of intent to do harm.
