I agree with you wholeheartedly, bc I too had a stepdad that loved me as his own when my own father never thought to look me up after abandoning my mother with two infants, me being one of them. It takes a special man to do that- a rock, as you say. And I miss him every day since he’s died. To the OG OP, you’re lucky to have had him, and you know it.
